Re: ATP 1000: Indian Wells
Still haven't answered why Nada lost to those players now and not rank 100s in 2006-8.
Your theory is simply that all players are "better than evvveerrr".

So you are becoming a convert to Neo-backhand then?
I've already said that I think his BH and return of serve are better than ever. Neo-BH is a bit over the top.

Fed in 2 tonight, unless a TB, then in 3.
Fed to rush the first set, then Stan to fold mentally after some line call or something in second set and all done in 2.

yes because we are dealing with a guy who can tire quickly.Jahu wrote:Yeah, as usual you stay on both sides of the fence, keep it safeÂ
Otherwise it would be Fed in 2. Pretty easy.....but we never know with a 35yo at the end of a tournament.

It's not only the BH and Serve that is better. His FH too!

I've never used this adjective to describe Federer, but his BH is getting ridiculous!

When Fed plays like that, it reminds me McEnroe 84 where all his shots were hit in the middle of his frame and dominating everyone with ease.....except that Fed is not facing a bunch of amateurs playing with alluminium racquets.

Stan stands so far behind on returns.
I'd like to see him take a BH return from the baseline, like Fed.

A bit unlucky for Stan but Fed was the better player in that set...just!
Impressive tennis from those 2. Very hard and clean hitting from both sides from both players.

In 2006, he won 3 slams and reached the final of another, when Nadal was also at his best. Â We'll talk when he does that again. Eh Â

Fed has dropped a few levels down....even though he broke...thanks to a poor game from Stan.

wow. what a way to break back. Stan was tempted to smash his racket but realized just in time that the break was fair enough for Fed

Nadal and Federer are from the same era.  Laver is not.  More false equivalencies.Tenez wrote:Really? tell me about it....Are yuo saying that Laver is a better (not greater) player than Fed then?Daniel wrote:Tenez wrote:Yep...Vintage Federer!gallery play wrote:No way! Fed shanked a BH

Yeah, a good 3 set match should me 1:30h same as a good movie.
Best of 5, no more then 2:30h, just like an Epic movie.
Don't care for 5-6h matches.

I am still not convinced Fed can win much this year. He tires so quickly!
Maybe it is the heat as Stan seems affected too.
