Re: ATP 500/250: Rotterdam, Sao Paolo, Memphis
You know I'm not a Fedal fan, I probably only saw one of their matches, and that was live in O2 when Fed won WTF (no sofa to hind behind!), it was great, though.Tenez wrote:That's however the impression he gave when facing nadal. Missing 10BPs in his first set at the FO 07 can certainly be seen as choking. messing up all those BPs and SP v Nadal woudl confirm that as well.noleisthebest wrote:Fed doesn't choke!Tenez wrote:Easy...All those who go for their shots!noleisthebest wrote:Yes, Nishi is a big choker.
Interesting how so many players are.
I really don't think he chokes, maybe tries to shorten the points to spare his arm, and he must strongly dislike having to play someone who is going to kill him physically.
I can't even bear watching it and can just imagine what it must be like to play against.
For me, the classic sign of choking is failing to serve out a set or match...not being able to compose oneself under emotions.

fed had a few like those v Nadal....Hamburg 08 and FO11 were terrible...but the thing is the day nadal had to pull the trigger under very high pressure v Djoko he missed there too (AO 12 for instance).
