Its easy... say the below match

Federer[2] vs Raonic[8]

In old scoring system only based on seedings, the correct prediction can only get 8 points. But matches involving lower seeded player had chance to making lot more points. So I make every match available for 33 points.

Normalization for the lower seed first, here Raonic requires 25 more points to make 33: 8+ 25 = 33
For Fed too add 25 points : 2 + 25 = 27

So new points are:

Fed [27] vs Raonic [33]

Can someone confirm how many points Sharapova's got for the last match, 25?
I assume Berd is 33, and Murray 6.

nope.....

I think Berdych is 33-4(nadal's ranking)= 29. Had Nadal won we would have had 33-7 (7 being Berds ranking) = 26
While Murray is 6 as Kyr is over 33 in ranking.....I think.

And Sharapova?

It's a bit confusing as in rotlas's example above, Raonic still ends up with 33 and Fed 25....

OK, Sharapova at 25, Berd at 29 and Murray at 6 points, then.
I'll do it later, so if there any changes just let me know.

In short there is 6 points difference between fed and Rao. 8-2 = 6 so Rotla does therefore 33 - 6. so 33 and 27.

I thought it was 33-8 (Rao) and 33-2 Federer. But Rotla's version gives a bit more point....though it is the same principle.

So what ARE the points then?
Sharapova
Makarova
Berdych

Berdych is 33
Makarova is 33
And Shara shoudl be 33 minus the difference between her and Bouchard's ranking. (dunno their ranking).
