Yes, not over yet but from MP down that's pretty good.

Chardy has been playing well this summer on the American hard courts (Canada and Cinci) so I was expecting him to win easily and I am happy he didn't make me regret my pick. I'm so happy PHM won as there was a lot of points on the line... When is Feli playing? to him!

Going into page 2 so quickly is a bit furstrating.
I agree...we'll look into that.
Done . Its now doubled from the previous value. I'll increase it as more members join in which increases the number of postings per topic.

Thanks ROTLA. I often read the forum on my cell phone and it can get quite annoying when advancing through the pages. More comments per page will make it much better.

Fed in control. As expected, experimenting at times. Cilic is looking like going down. 0-2 sets down already.

50 would work better for me but I will leave it to your judgment. For me, it is not the end of the world either way - just do whatever you think will be best for everyone.

I am happy to be Nadal to sphairistike and Tenez as long as NITB is all right being the Murray equivalent.

I am happy! To be fair, I got scared for a second with PHM... All the other picks were not as hard especially that Chardy has been having a good American hard court season so far... Congrats to you too Tenez, you only missed by one! The thing is though, as I said, all the matches unseeded vs. unseeded are where it's toughest to make a correct prediction and where it can cost you so I will have to be careful with those with all the connoisseurs on this site... The thing you won't see me do from now on is to bet for Murray or Djoko to win as there is too much at stake if they lose so I'll use the little bit of cushion I have to take those losses and hope for the best!

Are you referring to us proletariats, who practice 'agricultural' style of Tennis, by such a Socratic/Platoesque categorization as you have done?

Don't worry, I rarely select any easy-to-predict matches. I did a couple on day-1 but I won't do that now. Its too early days to start playing safe picking the upset when with the lead.
Everyone still has a chance to win, 13 days of prediction is a lot.

Classic Categorization first appears in the Western world under Socrates/Plato/Aristotle.
According to the classical view, categories should be clearly defined, mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categorization (highly opinionated and unverified public Internet link).
I assume a statement like connoisseur amongst us implies a mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive set of sets of connoisseur and non-connoisseur, since 'us' is the set of sets, it implies a separation of people who appreciate 'fine' things vs others who are relegated to 'coarser' things.

LF,
now you're really raking my memory...All Greek philosophy has been relegated in the Junk folder of my brain for a long time, I just kept a bit of it in the outbox folder for poetical reasons
I found them all sheer ofence to the beautiful creation called Man.
You can see I've been quite a rebel in me school days, speaking of which, have you found the answer to The question yet: Why?

Human beings are very good at cropping/erasing vestigial bits. Good for you.

I am pretty sure the reference is Human rather the Gender aspects. Greeks and many others tried their best to understand, demystify, glorify and deify beauty of humans. Form, function, ratios, and hundreds of mathematical concepts, like symmetry, proportions, etc. were applied to humans to understand such a creation. The search for the Higgs Boson, is a journey, that started with perhaps Heraclitus/Socrates/Plato/Aristotle and many others, to understand this Creation.

A label, that was invented as part of a categorization, to have rebel and non-rebel classifications. Pretty Boolean and cut-and-dry.
We have exchanged so many questions, perhaps you would care to refresh my fading memory, so I can continue my quest for the answer to The Why?

This is just the universal, philosophical Why, no unearthed hatchets.....as for "faded memory" well that's the luxury I once could boast of..not any more, not even faded, not even tatters, shreds, dust, vapour...
