Sanity restored to the lopsided H2H - Congrats Nole
22-16 looks more respectable. And what a clinical performance from Nole.
He executed his plan to perfection. His shot selection was superb. I think the key to the match was immaculate serving from Nole.
The first set was a breezy one, and the second one had its tense moments towards end of the match. But Novak maintained his cool till the end and made sure he finished the match without many jitters by holding to his serve.
I hope that No.2 beating No.1 trend will continue for some more time.

He deserved the win, had been the best player all week.
As for the 16-22 H2H deficit, that's not too bad against the Greatest player Of All Time.

Either way he isn't the goat, the GOAT or the G.O.A.T.

Great Player Of All Time, call him GPOAT if you're so pedantic.

As far as I am concerned Nadal can only be a GDOAT.
We were all able to see the difference in his "performance" now that he is in the cycling down phase.
Imagine how pathetic he'd be without the "medical" help...
Yes N143, H2H is looking a little bit better now and hopefully this time next year it will swing in Nole's favour.
He played very well today and his composure was steady. Let's hope he continues in that mode.
No reason why he shouldn't.
I think he will have got a lot of things out of his system by now.
One last thing, can you please delete the duplicate thread.

h2h is the last resort for all Nadal minions. Its only Nadal minions who can think that he is Greatest of all time.Julia Santamaria wrote:He deserved the win, had been the best player all week.

novak143, Sanity restored? Not quiet actually. Nadal still should keep an upper hand in their next meeting. It was a final, but its nothing close to the 2 slam meetings that Nadal won this year. He already dethroned Djokovic from #1 and is very likely to retain it even till RG next year.
One match doesn't change anything too big for me.

But I am not sure with reports of Nadal being injured with Knee trouble, that he would be able to defend the whole lot of points that he gained this year. Let us see.
