Tenez, I really liked your response to this question.Julia Santamaria wrote:A question for you Tenez:
How did Nadal win the first 4 sets he played against Federer.
First 2 came in Miami 2004, then the next 2 came in Miami 2005. How did he win these 4 sets in a row?
Just to clarify: This is not me asking you why he collapsed in Miami 2005 (in the final 3 sets), I have already seen your debate with Lydian over the time taken issue etc.
I am asking very specifically how he managed to take the first 4 sets he played against Federer.
So much so that I couldn't find it.
Probably because you didn't write it.
Nothing like telepathy, hey! (especially when you have no answer).

Nadal in the fifth set of the French Open semi, a break down- on the verge of going a double break down.raiders_of_the_lost_ark wrote: Never did. I saw how he faced the might of Federer and the manner he rose to the challenge and didn't blink for a second. It would always take a special player to do it.
Both Nadal AND Djokovic's accounts- say the same thing pre-match, that Nadal stepped up his game and played more aggressively and pulled it off. The stats back this up, showing Nadal hit more than double then winners than Djokovic in set 5.
So we know why, right? He must have been really confident Djokovic would tire. Because Djokovic tires really easily.
He must have taken huge amount of confidence about the fact that Djokovic got oh so tired in the AO 2012, in a 6 hour match, despite playing a semi later than Nadal against Murray which went to only 5 and a bit hours. That's nothing right.
He must have been so confident that Djokovic's incredibly gruelling match against Haas in the FO QF which went all the way to 3 sets would tire Djokovic out, much more than the 5 setter against Murray. Right?
A humiliating end to a humiliating argument, even telepathic communications will struggle to save Tenez here.
