Murray - Baghdatis
Court 1:
Federer Istomin (12.00)

Plenty of interesting matches for a place in the last 8.

Djoko -Hewitt can Indeed turn into match of day. So can Murray-Baggy. Tsonga-Lopez will get over sooner than it looks, Tsonga won't be able to play much after yesterday's marathon.

Re: London Olympics 2012: Match Of The Day (Round 3)
yes, Murray Baggy in particular as they played during last Wimbledon and it was a close one.
Nole Hewitt looks good on paper, but I think it will turn similar to Nole Roddick.
Simon Del Potro is going to be interesting, can't predict that one.
Ferrer Nishikori is going to be SOME grindfest

Hewitt serving very well. Interesting to observe Nole giving it extra focus trying to crack it. I give him till 4 all to unlock the code

Serena played good, but vika was too far below her best. She was hardly moving. Anyway a good win in the end to reach qtr finals.

Lloyd said: "Fed didn't do that much" at 5;5 1st set. Few mins later roger proceeded smoothly to take that set. :king:
Sounds like Lloyd is still sore at the swiss post-W. :P
Glad Heman quickly came to Fed's defense.

Fed into QF 75 63. :king: :king:
Meantime, Hewitt looks very fierce. Put on some weight. Used to be a shrimpy guy. I didn't recognize him.

And Nole does it 6:1 in the third!
Great match from Hewitt, but in the end the Cat outsmarted the Tiger.....
Hewitt looked just like 2.0 Tipsarevic, except with a bit more guile and roar.

reached home.. looking at some scores... Simon-Delpo indeed turned out close. Djo as expected won it very easily by the 3rd set, Hewitt couldn't have been able to keep that level for so long.
Murray-Bagyy going good. Baggy playing .. well.. not sure.

yes I was a bit nervous, but believed Nole would win in the end as he is a better player. Hewitt was playing his socks off really gave it his best shot and I have always admired that about him.
He's done the Aussies proud.
Makes Tomic and his attitude look like a (bad) joke.

Good to hear a fresh-faced Asian player make some noise. Did he out grind ferru or use some other anti-grind tactic to advantage?

I only saw the last game (virtually!) It was played under the roof, as the match was shifted onto Center due to darkness. So poor Ferru had to endure a long break for the roof to close and then serve out to stay in the match, making a double fault en route.
Feel sorry for him, but c'est la vie.....

Hey
Why only poor Ferru? Didn't Kei also had to "endure a long break" in the same situation?
No disrespect to Ferru, a most no-nonsense and endearing player. But last night sounds like fresh-face outlasted the old dog. :!:
