Yeah, coz this is feudalism and andy murray needs a sword plonked on him by an old lady in ridiculous clothes. That'd be great for the gossip magazines that litter the shelves of newsagents and supermarkets.

Murray felt like an idiot "getting out of his Ferrari"  ( which he quickly sold) a few years ago, let alone be bothered about knighthood.

That's for people who have a TV drip attached to their brains.

Imagine all the talk- shows, fake tan, make up, cheesy grins he'll have to endure now...

Deserves it. He has won the pinnacle of tennis achievements, so therefore he should get it.
Chris hoy, bradley wiggins etc got it, so andy should as well.

You must be glad Lance Armstrong is not British....he woudl have been knighted by now too.

They can knight him, make Paul VI a saint...it doesn't mean anything to me. It's God judgement that will sort us all out one day.

I think that being honoured increases one's risk of becoming a pedophile. Though analysts will argue that correlation doesn't mean causation. Philosophers might argue that causation is really only observed correlation.

I think some people are getting really angry that Sir Andrew Murray, one of the most exciting players to watch on the ATP tour with amazing charisma, has won a Wimbledon title under intense pressure!!!

I'm not sure about charisma, but his sense of humour does come out when he's not being asked mind-numbingly stupid questions (as is the norm). I like the guy.

His on court interview was nice, ingratiating.

For me the memory of federer's key points from last year are more vivid than anything from this final. 
The Delpo/Novak match was better.

No, no and no.

I am very much against athletes being knighted, unless they have done something truly extrordinary for the sport. Plus they need to have had a career first before we start handing out such recognition for achievement and service.

Yes he has won Wimbledon, but already the media is killing the occasion which annoys me being British!

 LOL! I am not sure about the charisma part either but Murray is certainly getting better with his public image. He is becoming a little more real and less robotic in spite of the fact that he probably hates the media intrusions and is a pretty low key guy.
