Certainly not an inspirational player for me. No personality, little talent.

However I don't dislike him nor do I care as someone who has Justin Bieber songs on his iphone is unlikely to be of any interest.

I am impressed with all the details you know about Beckham, right down to what songs he has on his Ipod, I know nothing about him much except the stuff you can't escape when you are in a supermarket queue and see the front pages of those ridiculous celebrity magazines around the tills, telling you he had had another child, new haircut, new tattoo etc...

I don't even know who Justin Beiber is, will pay more attention next time I am in the queue at the till

Now back to the actual Beckham the footballer... He,he T, I am surprised you don't know how good he was. He was a midfielder so naturally not the obvious goalgetter star ala Maradona, but hey, he did just what Federer did: never ran too much because of the sheer talent to cross the ball and put it on a plate for his teammates, which is why he was able to last so long...

There was just a piece of news about his iphone being left out in the changing room of the PSG.

I have not read many say he had a lot of talent. They all agree he was a hard worker and made the most of what he had. Fair enough, just not my kind of players.

David was very talented.
I don't know of any footballer ever who could pass the ball like him. He didn't need to dribble, muscle and run past others like everyone else has to, he really had the touch to pass the ball on a plate for others.

Of course, this thread was not to celebrate Beckham as the best player of all time, I have two other favourites there: Maradona and Zidane, but David was no grafter, he was pure talent.

Beckham was a great player.  With a few more people like him on the team we could do no wrong play wise.  The problem with him is he is way, way too vain.  His wife is an idiot, and so is he.  Because he wanted the "hollywood" treatment and the "American dream" he squandered a large part of his career and that at Man United.  He is obsessed with his image and ego, just like his daft wife.

But we have to recognize that the daft wife is damn good at running Victoria's Secret!
