Who Is Going to Win Wimbledon 2023?

Now that GOAT debate is over, (hasn't it crossed anyone's mind why Nole has been eating grass after every title win in Wimbledon?), it's time to enjoy twinkle toes and hand skills a bit more.

So who is going to win it?

Djoko is my favourite to win, but I want to be wild. Taken Medevedev in the poll.

I need some very interesting matches and results, else it's been very boring.

At first I read this as, 'Who is going to Wimbledon?'
I am camping out on Thursday night for Friday's play!

But in answer to the ACTUAL question...Djokovic.

LOL, I mentioned this to my son the other day, how we see different things all the time, and it's now what we want to see, we just see it for whatever reason....

But that aside, how are you me old mucker?

I think I'm going to give going to Wimbledon a miss this year, I discovered the joys of watching it on a nice big TV from a soft sofa recently

Still, if anyone offers me a ticket, I won't say no

A group of six of us did it last year and loved it. I also really enjoy seeing newbies enjoy it, too! Bigger group of pals this time round!

That sounds pretty good but I just love the look and feel of Wimbledon. One of my happy places!

I used to as well; somehow, this new generation of newbies leaves me cold. I see them as adults who are still wearing nappies.
They've got nothing to say and it reflects in their game.
The only one, if you can call him a newbie, I still like is Rublev. The lad's got soul.
The rest are just nodding robots.
Mind you, the Italians are still alive, Musetti etc, but compare him to eg Fognini and you get the picture.

Wimbledon is the only place that took my breath away literally when I went there the first time.
There is something about it and I still haven't worked out what.
But definitely a very special place.

With newbies I meant pals who have never been to Wimbledon before! Life after Federer is not nearly as interesting for me.

Then got in the resale queue to see Djoko vs Stan. Novak is just scary good right now.
Wimbledon is my happy place!

How long can Tsitsipas keep surviving these 'epics'? If he struggles so much to clear R2, he will have no hope and energy left by SF.

Stan's too heavy for grass.

Truth is, Tsitsipas is a wuss. He is weak in the head.
He's got the game as well as the shots, movement, but the head...just wobbly.

Wuss?? I remember once you completely rooted for him and predicted him to be the next dominant force. When he and Thiem were making inroads deeper into slams, you had said Tsitsipas will win a slam before Thiem.

Yes, I remember those days.
I first saw him play at Boodles, probably in 2014 or 15 he was nowhere near as good as he is now and I liked his game.
I didn't pay attention to his character which shone in very ugly colours pretty soon.
Unfortunately, he is a weak character, easily led and you don't want people like that in your corner because they'd stab you in the back at the first opportunity.

Paul CZ sussed him out straight away.

Tsitsipas lost as expected. There was no way he could keep escaping these epics.

Djoko was tested, but that's as far as it goes.

I hope Rune or Sinner.

Just caught the last few games of Medvedev Alcatraz, pretty embarrassing.... neither could hold serve and kept breaking each other.

Tsonga who never won anything on grass, was the daddy for both of these two jokes of players on grass.

We have the final we wanted. Djokovic vs Alcaraz. #1vs#2.

Alcaraz has points, but Djoko is the real #1 and the firm favourite for the title.

WHAT A WIN for Carlos. Especially how the match started with the horrible first set. No way an ordinary player can turn it around against Djokovic.
