Re: Barcelona 2018
Disappointed in Chung. Started quite well but then started making errors midway through the first set and never recovered. As you say, he was very inconsistent today.
On the other side, I thought this was maybe the best I have seen Zverev play this year. Hitting deeper, with not nearly as many cheap errors as earlier in the season.
Still, neither of them looked anywhere near good enough to trouble Nadal.
I am especially unhappy about Chung. He has the kind of game that can in theory trouble Nadal - not unlike Nishi or Goffin but taller than the two of them - but on today's performance he will not trouble him.

The face which said: Hey everyone, what’s the big deal with this guy? Why is everyone scared of him...he is playing nothing special!
Can't believe you are still clinging on to this cheap-trash talk after a loss, by a Guy who took another 10 years to beat him at RG. And in the meantime Nadal was collecting RGs at will.
You can say what you like, Nole owns Nadal.
Despite having much tougher draws througout his career.
Nole’s talk walks the walk.

Nole owns nadal on clay, thats why novak has won 1 roland garros and nadal 10
Nole owns nadal on clay, thats why their h2h is 6-1 at roland garros
Nole owns nadal on clay, thats why their h2h after 13 years of encounters is 15-7
Nole owns nadal on clay because since 2011 he won a third of the titles nadal won on clay
Nole owns nadal on clay, because since 2011, novak won 1 roland garros, and nadal only 5

But Nole's walk does not quite walk the walk.noleisthebest wrote:You can say what you like, Nole owns Nadal.

Why would you say that "Nole owns Nadal"? That is nonsense in any reasonable meaning of the word "own". It is one thing to find Rafa's game disgusting - I am all there with you - but quite another to lie to yourself about reality. Nole has certainly done better than anyone vs Rafa. At his best, he just about matches Rafa on clay and beats him elsewhere. But his best is not there as frequently as Rafa's and he certainly does not "own" him. And as it stands, it looks like he is riding into the sunset in a somewhat embarrassing fashion, having failed to dislodge Rafa from the #2 spot in the current generation.
You like to complain about people being afraid to face reality and sticking their heads in sand. But nobody does it better than what you do with Nole - you twist yourself in pretzels to make him look pretty where he is hideous, to make him look honorable where he is crooked, and to make him look courageous where he is cowardly.
