Why I like Juan Martin Del Potro
I like him because he goes about his business in a nice quiet way, just gets on with it. And he hits the ball really hard - just creams it. But I don't think he hits it quite as hard as he did before he got injured.
He does lumber about the court a bit between points, but maybe it just because he's so tall, so it looks that way.
Tsonga has a nicer smile though.

I agree with that. I don;t think there are many posters who dislike him. In a very different way it's like Safin, people simply warm up to them regardless of style or nationality.mikeyM1000 wrote:I like him because he goes about his business in a nice quiet way, just gets on with it.

Wish he would cut down on the time he takes while serving or challenging line calls, though.
The last few minutes against Federer at OG were wonderful. As was his speech at USO 2009 despite Dick Enberg wanting a commercial break.

He seems to be a nice guy, the "gentle giant" image that is often used comes to mind. Tennis wise though, even though I like the power of his FH and some of his game, but I totally dislike his time taking between the points, definitely the slowest out there with Nadal...
