the problem is that some get emotionally unable to disentangle themselves out of their perception, but take it personally, which is not a sign of maturity, quite the opposite.
That's all fine, but it does not help on forums. It makes it very difficult to have any sort of discussion if people get all overheated and irrational.
As Tenez said it well: if you can't stand the heat, move on!
I know you can despite having your Nadal-sensitive moments.
Everyone can get carried away, just no need to be personal and insulting to any poster here, esp the one who founded the forum and in my opinion is a really genuinely great host.
If you say something against Nadal it's ok, we can have a debate etc.
But your comparisons were directly implying Nadal fans, and as Tenex would say
it was 'low.'
You can't even see you are taking it personally. Why do you feel insulted about my opinion of Nadal or his fans?
Aren't you able to accept somebody else's opinion?
Take it on, as you like to say :chin: and move on. It's only tennis we are talking about here. Actually, not even that, just some nappy-changing really.
Time to grow up and be able to digest strong opinions without flinching

NITB you just said:
I agreed with that.
Don't change your tune.
There's no need for personal insults, it's immature and unacceptable.
Strong opinions, on tennis, are fine

Basically say what you want about Nadal, tennis etc. but if you start insulting me directly (as you clearly did with your comparisons) then don't be surprised if I point it out.

Tenez, I have never denied that Murray has become physically stronger. To be honest I always had problem with Nadal because of time taking routines.
Secondly , I am not the one who keeps on playing like a broken record. Broadened jaws are sign of doping, says who? With age people grow, do you even know what metamorphosis is?
You think you know tennis and talk tennis but in reality you just talk physicality, legs and lungs and that too like a broken record.

And do you really think that I will stay on such a pathetic forum where you and your fellow posters hardly have a clue about tennis. I came back to realise you and co that how pathetic your views are and how it reads to a tennis fan.
Carry on with your senseless and mindless crap.

But like a very biased person you completely snapped when Murray was also put under the spotlight. What's the word for that?

I think there are already more tournaments on clay than any other surface. What is Nadal moaning about? His quotes are always self-serving and motivated to keep only his benefits. Surprising? Not since he has been doing it before as well.
Amritia,
what do you have to say about it? I see that on this thread you haven't posted anything much of substance.

There are a few more on HC but let;s say 4 out of 10 important, non-slam, tournaments (TMS and WTF) are on clay (40%).
I love clay actually when it plays like FO2011. I love grass too. I am a fan of natural surfaces.

Amritia,
what do you have to say about it?
Well I posted an article on what I thought of the surface distribution, you can read that I suppose
There are many tournaments on Clay, but not many Slams and Masters. (only 4 in total IIRC). I think we should have more important clay and grass tournaments installed, like Tenez I prefer natural surfaces.
They are also kinder on the body.

Ridiculous double standards from ROTLA.
He himself says: See a forum needs all kinds of posters, some are aggressive like me. But isn't variety the spice of life. Why should all posters be nice and goody-goody like an .
Clearly he only applies the rule to a certain people, i.e. it doesn't apply to his friends.
I'm fine with harsh moderation etc., but consistency should be shown. At the moment great double standards are being operated I'm afraid, ROTLA should ban himself
If wow had said what NITB has told me earlier, he would have been punished no doubt.

wow, I know normally you are not aggressive like ROTLA, but I think you have let your frustrations get the better of you, you should stay cool and calm.
Of course that doesn't excuse the ridiculous double standards here, if we are banning people on the bounds of being aggressive ROTLA should ban himself first.
We were meant to have self-moderation on here, but clearly this is only applied when certain people want it. This is what ROTLA said of his behaviour when I asked him about it:

There is no point logging in and insult all posters. How can you compare Rotla's frank talking about tennis with wow's stupid and useless comments?
We have few but excellent posters here. If you are not happy you go like wow. It;s not double standard. It's one thing being straight spoken like rotla and it's a complely different think to log in for the sole purpose of insulting posters. If you defend wow's stupid behaviour here you may want to leave as well. We never tried to log back in V2 and insult everybody.

I'm not defending anyone Tenez.
wow has also made many comments about tennis here (https://ourtennisforum.forumotion.co.uk/t112-the-golden-threshold) however this can't be used as an excuse for anything he does.
ROTLA has been aggressive, he has even said so himself, the only difference is that he hasn't been insulting to you, or NITB (unlike wow).
So obviously you will not mind ROTLA being insulting or abusive, unless he does it to you.
We're not all naive Tenez.

You are not naive Amritia? Fine. Good to know.
aggressive != abusive && aggressive != insulting
I'm trying to get the discussion back on track and you just won't let that happen, would you? wow3 has turned hysterical, do you also want to go his way?
Murray's GS win turned him so hostile, he lost his mind. It shows your character the way one behaves in situations of victory and loss.

Well ROTLA has been abusive and insulting to many people, just not to you NITB.
Anyway there is no point extending this discussion, it's highly unlikely that a moderator will admit the truth and ban himself for his aggressive behaviour.

Amri,
if I were you, I'd try and post more on tennis-focused threads at the moment.
You seem to gravitate towards poster-orientated discussions, jumping at every opportunity to blame someone for something.
I can understand you may feel that way, but just keep it to yourself, try to come up with something interesting and positive even if it's just from your point of view and don't come out so defensive when others come up with topics THEY find interesting and you find hard to find interesting (i.e. anything a out Nadal). Ignore those threads if you can't accept other peoples' opinions.
It's not easy, but give it a try, it's more fun and rewarding for yourself and everyone else to be creative rather than destructive.

I'm not any moderator of this site. I only handle technical things if those are required. No one is a moderator here, its expected that everyone should should moderate himself/herself.
You want to stay here, well and good. Talk and discuss tennis, all fine. A bit of banter, all accepted.
But if you want to go into a hysteria like wow3, then its better that you see wow3 on MTL or where ever he has invited you. Good luck with that. Surprising you are defending the madness that wow3 was exhibiting ever since Murray won US open.

ROTLA.. for the tenth time I am not defending anybody. (at which point have I defended anybody here).
I don't think two wrongs make a right, and it is clear that you are being biased to yourself.
Anyway, this is the last thing I will say on the matter.
NITB don't worry from now on I will stick to tennis, on the tennis forum
In-fact there should be another thread created such as 'feedback thread' (that exists on MTL, v2 etc.) which is a good medium for those complaints, rather than me having to point it out on a tennis thread.

.
Assuming you have not read the whole thread and Wow's rude barging in with only one intention of insulting everyone just because he felt like it, I recommend you have another look.
I'm pretty sure you would not tolerate people coming into you house and insulting your family, so why would it be the case here?
It's one thing disagreeing with someone and expressing it in a non-vulgar way and completely the other venting out your frustrations on others just because you can hide behind a key-board.
It's a shame adults chose to carry on like that.
