You cannot be serious!
The best BH in the history of sport.
Those two misses are not a representation of anything bar his nerves.
It's been absolutely phenomenal defending against Ciiic's FH. He kept it for 4-5 shots in a rally.
In contrast, Cilic couldn't fight offa single one of his BH when Fed went for him.

roger surviving by the skin of his teeth, massibe choke job by cilic who had 3 match points!!!
I am going to be a meek, drained, adrenalide ravished sedated zombie after this match...but I wouldn't have it any other way.

If Fed keep these drops shots and server he will take this quick.
Cilics first serve is melting.

It's my friend doing the line judge again. She is on teh left hand side looking at the back.
The bad news is she was also a line judge in teh match fed lost v Stackovski 3 years ago.

Re: DAY 10...Another cloudy day!
that was 1 of the top 5 worsrt matches i have seen federer play,i cant remember the last time i saw him this slow and making that many errors on the easiest shots
backhand looking weaker then ever and struggling with his 1st seerve but i gotta say what he did today was mighty special
cilic was on fire, playing his best tennis in months had 3 match points, playing an avarage federer abd still couldnt take him down!!!
federer proving his greatnessonce again!!
i really didnt think thtat he would come through,in fact i thought that he would loose in straight sets but every time i doubt him,he proves me wrong!!!

He was not playing well in the first 2 sets. But the reason I said I'd fancy him win the 3rd set is that I could see his body loosening up. As you say Cilic was on fire...helped by the fact fed had no power from his BH.
But the way he played in those last 3 sets and in particular in those last 3 games...was outstanding. Points only him can deliver....under the worst pressure.

How on earth can Tsonga reach teh 1/4F without a BH? is that the worst BH in the top 50?

Ah, just wonderful to see Federer still able to mix it. I couldn't see him raising his game for today.
I fancy he'll beat Raonic but can't see him beating Murray unless it's very fast conditions and the serve goes into God node like last year.

We won't be seeing the likes of Federer again for a long time. To do what he did against Cilic from 2 sets down and saving 3 MP - at almost 35. It's the stuff off legend.

Murray bitching and screaming as usual. That umpire thing was gamesmanship and they should be docked a point for it.

Murray is a pathetic pusher. And i've never seen someone so bawling and arrogant and bitching. My cousin called it - he's been pampered all his life.

Re: DAY 10...Another cloudy day!
Murray doing what he does best...... running the opponent into the ground.
They've covered more than 1km each than Federer or Cilic despite playing many fewer points.
Federer would need the conditions to keep the points short. The better news is that unlike against Screech he gets a chance to do this against Murray.
Semis permitting, of course.

is murray really the favourite " for most" for the wimbledon title this year?
or is andrew castle spewing his usual pass me the bucket comments?
it would be an absolute disaster if murray were to win wimbledon again

i seriously doubt that berdych is going to even challenge murray.if anyone was going to upset murray on route to the final it was going to be tsonga...it would have been interesting if raonic was in the same hal cause he has the game to trouble murray

Re: DAY 10...Another cloudy day!
While watching Murray Tsonga i realized that if Tsonga wouldn't beat Murray, no one left in the draw will.
It was truly crazy what Jo had to do to score a point, but somehow he did frequently which made this match quite a spectacle at times. The first and fourth set Jo played some of his best tennis ever. Amazing firepower by Jo but still it wasn't enough. Murray's acceleration is absurd, he was retrieving Tsonga's open court smashes, just like he returned an awful lot of 136+ mph serves. Only after 2,5 hours he started to lose some speed and yet he was by far the fittest player in the fifth. Tsonga just could not rally any longer and went for broke.
Murray obviously will be all over Berdych and Raonic will be an easier target for Murray than Tsonga. And Federer...well like i said: what did Tsonga have to do to score a point, Fed simply does not have that firepower anymore, let alone the fitness.

Re: DAY 10...Another cloudy day!
Fed does not need firepower against Andy, just his serve and a few nasty points to make Andy self destruct.
Andy can run all day but firepower is something I'd say about Stan or Delpo, and not Andy who plays ping-pong from base line.

Re: DAY 10...Another cloudy day!
Federer has only one advantage, which is to step right in and force Murray back. Four years ago that led to Murray becoming exhausted, but then that was four years ago....
Last year he strangled him with the serve. That's not easy to reproduce.

Re: DAY 10...Another cloudy day!
on the postive side, murray is a massive choker especially in finals
tsonga may have the game and fire power to beat murray but he doesnt have the mental strength to beat murray that why he has lost to murray so many times whne he should have beaten him
federer has given murray a spanking time and time again so it will be interesting to see what federer pitches up on sunday if he makes the final

Re: DAY 10...Another cloudy day!
It's true, firepower from 3 yards behind the baseline (like Jo, Delpo and stan) is something else (less effective) than Fed's early hitting. But can Fed play inside the lines? Murray's serve is really consistant and his returning is top class.
Murray indeed can screw things if he enters the occasional selfdestruct mode, but surely his form is good enough to win the title. Can we say the same about Federer?

Re: DAY 10...Another cloudy day!
I can say that Fed has had only a few bad Final shows, while Andy has had most his Finals in a crappy mode.
Still think Andy on a Final at W is more stressed then Fed, though I'm sure for Fed this Title would mean the world to him.
