US open 2012: ATP Matches of the Day: Day 3

After a boring day-2 of tennis, we move forward to the 3rd day of the US open 2012. What an utter waste of a main-draw spot is this Paulo Lorenzi. Raonic doing his best to become a moonballer. And Dolog is, well.. Dolgo.

Lets hope today we get to see some quality tennis. Federer is not scheduled to play today. And it looks like still not decided who will play Delpo after Nalbandian withdrew.

Strange torunament this has been. I have never seen so many comebacks in one tournament. 3 yesterday and the third one is on now. Come on Haas!

Gulbis won

Gulbis completing the 3rd come back of the day.

I can honestly say that Haas advanced age gave me the confidence to risk Gulbis in a best of 5.

This American open is fixed No way there could have been so many comebacks from 2 sets down, there is definitely something fihsy going on, a big betting cartel is making money at the expense of the tennis fans.

The biggest choker of all time has comeback from 2 sets down, it is just not believable. Mierda!

Laura Robson knocks Kim Clijsters out in two tie-breaks. brilliant tennis and match from Robson sends Kim to retirement.

Its remarkable how many comebacks from 0-2 sets down have been in this US open. Its amazing.

Dodig is in tatters this year, with a win-loss record this year 12-24. Was he ever going to beat Murray? His only if at all, chance was to fires super serves. But he couldn't do that either.

I don't understand how the counting works but I will not argue!

It seems I was second or leading yesterday but today despite doing as bad as everybody else (and despite being the only one predicting the loss of a seed), I end up losing more points than wow.

OH tenez, all the data are for in front of everyone to calculate and verify, match-by-match. wow got 4/6 correct, you 3/6. You win a prediction, you get the points as per the seed of your predicted player ( 33 if unseeded). You lose the prediction, you get negative points equal to the seed value of the winning player ( -33 if unseeded )

e.g.

E Gulbis (LAT) d [21] T Haas (GER) 36 46 64 75 63

You predicted Gulbis and Gulbis won, you got 33 points. If Gulbis had lost, you would have got -21 (seed of Haas). Your prediction had +33 or -21 at stake.
I predicted Hass to win. Haas lost, so I got -33 ( Gulbis being unseeded ). Had Haas won, I would have only got 21 points ( Haas's seeding ). My prediction had +21 or -33 at stake.
