I’m not in this but I genuinely think Edmund has a shot at this. He just has to keep away from Cilic backhand (because then it’s coming to his) and wait for his head to explode.

I think Edmund does have a chance. He looked quite good to me - much improved relative to the last time I saw him. He also has decent firepower so Cilic will not entirely overwhelm him. Still, Cilic is the favorite.

Maybe 60/40 for me.

This is really not a good standard match, especially for a Slam semi. Edmund has just been worse than Cilic.

Cilic will cause Fed some trouble on his BH....that's Cilic's only chance. If Cilic happens to play Chung, he will lose. He can't keep the ball in court long enough.

That was a really poor match. I know the commentators can’t trash the product but seriously I’d be happy if Cilic produced that standard on Sunday if Feds on the other side.

I saw last 5-6 games of Halep-Kerber and it was vile.

So much grunting so few winners.

Net area was a mine zone.

I couldn't believe it.

I picked it up at 5/3 halep in the 3rd.....and from there she managed to have to save MPs. What a joke mental wise. Kerber was not very impressive....did too much running.

I was impressed by Halep, she went for winners in the tightest of situations. She has very big guts, can hit big shots when she chooses, and by God can she run!

Pleased that one of these two long-serving no. 1’s will get a slam on Saturday. Not a particular fan of either of their games, but each has put in the miles to make the best of themselves. Nice to see that rewarded once in a while.
