Murray Out of Autralian Open
Looks like his hip is not fully healed and he may consider surgery.

If anything it's surprising he managed to run as much for so long while built like a tank. Hewitt did not have that luck.

I heard in the club yesterday Murray is carrying another injury.
The coach wouldn’t say which one it was, but my persistent self wouldn’t take no for an answer and narrowed it down to the knee.

On a positive note, Craig Tiley said Nole told him he’d be ready for AO.

Sad news, seems if hip replacement surgery goes on, its the end of the career.

Hard luck but I thought way back last year this was the end of it.

Re: Murray Out of Autralian Open
Unsurprising to be honest. I think surgery was always inevitable given that the rest didn't work and faced with either delaying by another 6 months and then essentially being out of the game 18 months with that not working. Whilst surgery can create limitations, he's fortunate the field isn't that particularly strong at the lower end of the rankings. Makes sense to return on grass being his preferred surface and physically less taxing (he says :P)
I am not going to write him off. Not convinced the competition is there to make it difficult for a return to the higher echelons of the rankings.

Real injuries work like this. Nadal needs to take better acting classes.
