I love Nole's posture, straight as an arrow.
Nobody walks as tall as him.

Good to see Keothavong in the chair.
All in all, tennis has become such a spectacle these days....as someone noticed, it used to be the rich watching the poor and now it's the other way round.
I've had my breakfast - hot chocolate & a croissant and I am ready to roaRRRRRRR.

Nole's really nailing that short angle wide serve these days.

Very interesting to see Nole stand unusually for him far back on Nadal's 1st serve.

So Nadal's going to be having to be aiming serves down the middle if he's to have any joy.

Djokovic just pummelling Nadal. Amazed a couple on here made Nadal favourite. As the majority here said, different beating up on a Berdych than trying to do that with Djokovic.

Case in point that last point. The BH by Nadal would've won the point against anyone else. Size of the challenge that presents itself.

Nadal is going to have to go lights out. No way he is sustaining that level.

After all these years, Nadal still moonballs a sitter mid-court inside out FH...just wow...

Re: Aus open men's final
I just wish Nole would turn off his entertaining brain during his matches.
He could've put that ball away any way he liked and broke again, but he had to lob Nadal...mind you, I don't blame him wanting to toy with Nadal...

Djokovic in cruise control. Easily another level. Just moving Nadal around at will. Amazed commentators surprised that Nadal not having his way. Morons!

I would if I could keep the sound of the crowd
This final needed Frew who actually speaks sense.

I've put the sound back on, sirtaki, oh yes baby....and the crowd nice and quiet, just the way Nole likes it.

That was as perfect 1st set as you could want if you are Djokovic.
Nadal not in this match at all. This could be over in 3.

This is pretty much what I expected. Nadal can win points but only by redlining, which can’t be done consistently.

I remember Brad Gilbert saying that Nadal was "the tennis brain". What an idiot. Nadal is clueless once his power is absorbed.
Fed and Djoko have learnt how to play him, or rather how to handle that spin and Nadal has not been able to evolve. Just hitting harder.

Djokovic is playing smarter. Nadal harder. Only winner is the smart one

It’s actually quite funny watching this, especially as I am sitting here congratulating myself on how I yesterday predicted the path of this match.

I just looked at your post again! early contender for post of the year!
Like you I find this amusing purely because of the sheer amount of people saying "New Nadal" will be hard to beat....
Well Djokovic is dismantling him and he's not clicked out of first gear yet.

I agreed with it.
Looked at Nadal's GS draws since 2017. So in 9 GS, he has faced a top ten player 10 times. Which on the face of it shows if he is faced with serious competition, he is vulnerable.
