Cilic serves somehow look faster than they are. Everytime i think it's a 130'er yet he hardly ever serves faster than 125 m/ph

I woudl live Tsonga to win....if he was a better bet than Cilic v Djoko....but he is not. I am hoping Cilic can close it now.

The good news is that the winner will have a 2 day rest. That's quite a bit.

Cilic has changed. I don't mean physically but mentally. I prefered the previous more humble version.

On this surface Cilic should have a chance, much depends of form of the day.

I agree. I think he has the fire power of Delpo but with a better serve. A kind of Anderson but with maybe a tiny bit more mental strength. I am impressed Cilic managed to get bak to semi final. That's a good result considering the pressure.

Very surprised Lopez got a set, to a tie break, and was broken only three times.

Didn't see the match but that's not great from Djokovic.

I was too tired, only saw a few points in the middle of 3rd set when I woke up.

I'm still not used to seeing Nole move on this faster court, he is not 100% comfortable on it, and Feli will have probably given him tough time with his SBH unpredictability and S&V.
None of the "off the peg" rallying, predictable SBH tennis.

Did Feli run out of steam?
How did he lose?
Did Nole take any risk?

Despite 13 straight losses, Cilic can do it:

-They will play day session, so probably very warm and fast
-He's overcome the nerves of defending the title ( SF not a bad effort, nobody will bat an eyelid if he goes to No 1), so will be relaxed
-historically speaking, won't need extra motivation
-is playing well enough to be confident at the start

But:

-he has to believe he can win
-no nerves allowed (very tough)esp if Nole starts neutralising his serve which will the big challenge on this court
-crowd will probably help him



So all in all, I give him about 25% chance. Only because of the speed of court. He has to make the most of it, though.

Yes. He is not rallying player and can't sustain energy levels for long matches. Hi serve dropped and bh started spraying errors. He did well to reach the TB in 4th and the TB was very one sided.

Hi BH is too much of a weakness, he can only slice off that wing. Anytime Djokovic was under pressure he would give it on Feli's bh and the rally normalized.

Not much needed with Lopez. Djokoivc plays with a good balance of attack and defense. Feli's only option was to win in 2 TBs but he couldn't. Also the slow start didn't help.
