Mmmm, some tricky ones today, I hope there are no walkovers, just steam-rolling today
Djokovic, Del Potro (although I wouldn't mind a Roddick win, as I'd love Nole to annihilate him into retirement on Ashe), Ferrer, Tipsarevic, Azarenka, Bartoli

Kohli showed strong determination to beat Paire and then Isner. He may yet beat Tipsy. Gasquet will grind down by Ferrer.

Re: US open 2012: Matches of the Day: Day 9
Kholi Tips should be a good one. Tipsarevic used to be a normal player just like Kohlschreiber before he went Nadal way and turbo-ed his fitness levels to "transform" his game into this hybrid percentage quasi-aggressive tennis.
He's still got a lot of his old guile about him though, so I expect a good match.
Kohli must be punished for eliminating Paire

Should he be keel-hauled for beating Isner then?

Who stops the others from going super physical? Isn't is just an excuse to not to win? I agree with the time wasting and MTos and intimidating opponents and playing negative game but fitness???

Have seen the end of Azarenka-Stosur match and my ears are spiked by Azarenka shrieking. WTA should do something with this soon, this shrieking is similar to when a train puts brake on
It is pity for Samantha that she could not manage the TB.Her muscles do not bother me, but Azarenka´s yelling is terrible.

David Ferrer´s lungs and blood circulation must be perfect. What the balls David can catch up despite his smoking, that is unbelievable. Oh yes, these Spaniards

Lol, I did the same mimick when Italian women played in Czech Fed cup, these poor women Schiavone and Errani . But that Azarenka should be ordered out. That is an offense to tennis.
Samantha can not keep in rallying of backhands with that yelling devil, but it was quite close, pity.

She is really fiesty..doesnt seem to care much when people ask or warn her about it..Sharapova is the worst for me..thats a real shriek...unbearable to watch! So Sam doesnt defend her title...

Exactly, if Ferrer can play then Fed must go on as well. David is an etalon of the stamina for sure for the same aged. And Fed is non-smoker, he must play till 40

I have been saying this for a while,I think he is actually faster then Nadal and I think he runs more balls down then Nadal
He was never such a force in the game 3-4 years ago, strange very late bloomer
The commentators were saying he even gave up for a while and then decided to play again

Absolutely, they really do not care about people reactions or rather are not able to cope with this. We discussed with tennis friends that to watch a match between Shara and Azarenka on TV during late evening can really outrage neighbours, therefore that match should be broadcasted only during the day. The TV channels should eliminate this noise from the records and then to broadcast it without this shrieking on TV I heard that something similar should be used at footbal stadium to eliminate a noise of vuvuzelas

As annoying as they were I actually loved those vuvuzelas.Sharapova vs Azarenka has to be the mother of all horrors..
Who were the other 2 females who grunted so badly back in the 90's

It looks that this chance is low, the match between Shara and Bartoli was suspended, looks to be raining there. Nitb, hopefully we can be confident in Nole not only for this night
The session between Rodd and Delpo could be entertaining, but is starts too late to watch. I am curious for the match between Fed and Berdych. Tomas looks to be in good shape and mood and when I heard him I got a feeling that he believes in himself to go for the win. That would not have to be easy for Fed. If yes, then the more I am looking forward to semi with Andy.
That draw is really good for Nole, but after such a long time he deserves it

Re: US open 2012: Matches of the Day: Day 9
I am fully expecting that match to start by midnight here
I am going to go and "watch" a video now (read drop off) and then wake up in a few hours when Nole is going to be serving at 3:2 in the third set, having won the other two.
An yes, I look forward to Bird Fed match tomorrow. I hope Bird delivers on his confidence, as Fed seem to have done his usual pre-match needle prick right into that sore spot.

Did you know that Fuentes is on permanent retainer to RFET and Antonio Serrano (and others)?
I wish Federer was born in Spain, then we would have the Djokovic-Nadal slug-fests starting in 2004 as Fedal slug-fests rather than wait till AO 2012.
Why not start a collection and send money to Fuentes in Canary Islands and get Federer some EPO and autologus blood transfusion, so he can beat Nadal at Rio 2016 and also accumulate 50 slams and we no longer need a GOAT debate?
If we have some spare, we can buy Federer an Oxygen Tent to go along with his BMR machine.
