It's actually his FH which is loopier than pre-2007, his BH has never been as consistently good.FedererKing wrote:I do... his backhand is nothing on what it used to be. But at least it isn't shank city like a couple of seasons ago.
But you are more concerned about wanting to be right than actually seeing how the game moved on in the last 10 years.
This is a thread for you! You can see that 24-27 does not seem to be the peak age for anybody nowadays!

Serbian commentator tripping over himself to find words how good Fed was..."masterpiece...every spectator in Ashe tonight will be able to say I was lucky to see .roger Federer play his best tennis. "
And giving the interview he really looks happy!
Yet in the post-match press conference again cautious.

Very interesting comments about Hewitt.
Also about Sock's retirement. Similar to those about Nole in AO 2009 when he had to retire because of heat.
NY must be quite humid to have top athletes cope badly with high temperatures.
Sock is a big, heavy boy, and probably dehydrates fast.
Regardless, it seems that in current physical conditions (esp in this hot humid NY weather) clean players can't last longer than 2 sets.
That comment from Herbert last week revealed everything.
Mannarino-Murray last night cemented it for me.

Nothing direct, just caution about the following matches/opponents.
Like he is not looking forward to it.
I am annoyed I didn't see the match last night, but was so tired (played two long sets after dinner ), as he seemed to have played superbly.
Hopefully will watch him against Kholi. Travelling tomorrow. At last...

Poor thing, one of the nicest/classiest Spanish players & a gent, too. Even better looking than Nadal.
He must be thinking: What have I done wrong?
