Re: ATP Masters 1000: Cinncinati
I enjoyed both matches yesterday.
Felt really sorry for Dolgo. The day he cuts his hair short he'll be able ro rein his aggression.
Fed was magic. I am left for words to express how good he is.
Tragically, I have to go to The Globe tonight and won't see the final. Unless I there is wi-fi there....
Should be a great match.

Love that place. Went earlier this summer. What you seeing?
Much ado about nothing? As you like it? History.

Does anyone remember how Forrest Gump played table tennis? That's how Djoko plays tennis.

the score is certainly not telling the story. 4 BPs wasted whereas Fed only lost 3 points on his serve. ..yet 4/3 Djoko!...and fear for Fed's next serve.

No a single ball is whacked (hit at full capacity)....or hit with passion! Only "containing" tennis.

Djoko plays so softly that he doesn;t give Fed any pace to get at!

In the past Fed read Djoko's serve better. I can't remember Djoko getting so many free points on serve a few years ago

o no, there's the becker-like outburst again. Do we have to go through that same cycle every match? What's next? first a MTO and then extra grunting on the big points?

McEnroe would have been proud of it....but to be fair Djoko's second serve was so conservative.

He did it a few times yesterday and other matches this week. Yesterday he told he started doing it in practice sessions for fun but it worked quite well so het started doing it in matches. Genius. Play like you practice. Only the greatest can do that.Tenez wrote:Did you see that return??????? he was not doing that before!

The new racquet is certainly helping his serving a lot.
If only he had made the move to the new racquet 10 years ago!

Re: ATP Masters 1000: Cinncinati
My point that Federer on form is probably more troubled by Murray than Djoko carries some strength. Murray was hurting Fed more yetserday on his serve. had Fed converted one of those BP in the first set...it woudl be a pretty straight forward win for Fed.
But I guess the strength of Djko is now...when it comes closer to the end of match.

You could see Djoko was taking a deep breath to make a comeback, made it tricky for Fed. But Fed's was too fast ending the points.Tenez wrote:Djoko throwing the long rallies on!
