Let me translate it for you, Polly: Tenez's mind says Anderson, the heart - Djokovic.
With him, the heart always wins.

And a bit more on my conspiracy...watch out for rigged Hawkeye calls today...esp if Ivo starts serving well.
Wouldn't it be impressive to see a a 36-year old  in the QF!!!
(and hopefully play another fellow SBH-er, soon-to-be 34 )

Re: Wimbledon Prediction Game: Day 7
Speaking of SBH and age, it's just dawned on me that most over 30 year olds are SBH-ers:
Fed (34), Stan (30), Â Ivo (36), Â Robredo (33), Feli Lopez (33), GG Lopez (32) Kholi (31), Youzhny (33), Darcis (31), Bollelli and Cuevas turning 30 soon...
They all seem to be ageing well compared to many DBH-ers from that era who had to retire "early": Nalbandian, Roddick, Davydenko....
Just shows how natural that shot is, or more how unnatural and taxing on the body DBH is.
What do you all think?
Come on, let's talk about something else other than Nadal here

They were showing how HE got it very wrong the other day on Center court. The slo mo cam were telling a different story than HE. But in that case it was if I remember correctly against the star player (Federer).

Boring picks today from here:
Serena Williams (USA)Â [21]
Andy Murray (GBR)Â [13]
Roger Federer (SUI) [18]
Zarina Diyas (KAZ) 33
Stan Wawrinka (SUI) [21]
Novak Djokovic (SRB) [14]
Nick Kyrgios (AUS) [33]
Garbine Muguruza (ESP) [33] - joker
Gilles Simon (FRA) [33]
Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) [18]
Marin Cilic (CRO) [9] - should be straight sets this time to leave something in the tank for the likely Djokovic match-up
@nitb there is Ferrer who was doing pretty well with a DBH and a grinding style in his later years, I still don't get how he does it. His generation now finally on the way out with their numbers dwindling in the top 100, they still go strong at the very top for the moment.
Unfortunately very few youngsters with SHB, but not surprising considering it is seen as a distinct disadvantage nowadays and rarely taught. Got a new coach here locally with a SBH, but he coaches the adults, kids are taught DBH.

It's so easy to fix, but peiple somehow have trouble understandin it.
If umpires are willing to deliberately avoid enforcing 25 sec rule all those years, why is it so hard to believe they can click a prearranged button on their computer.
Like most people, all they care for is keeping their job.
But I feel there are opposing frictions behind the scenes now.
Still, money will always protect both present and potential future stars...

It's not that easy to tell esp in real time...it was a a stretched atempt of a volley that ended up looking like a shank.
I agree with Ivo it looks different in slow motion.

Isn't Gasquet playing well!
He is so good with his BH, completely outplayed Nole inBoodles the other week, and again here, making Kyrgios look like a plain basher with no idea what to do...

When a SBH-er is winning, he is almost always outplaying.
Certainly not outbashing or outrallying...
Richie does it beautifully with his BH, making Kyrg guess all the time.

I didn't see much of that match, and still stand by the fact Stan't game is simple and quite similar to Berd's, except that Stan is gutsier: it's baseline hitting.luvsports! wrote:You weren't saying that when Stan was beating Djoko at the FO...Â

Stan goes closer to the lines and more often down the line. That's why he won slams and Berd didn't.
But I don't understand what that's got to do with Richie-Kyrgios...

Well going by your "winning" remark for shbh, that certainly wasn't the case for the FO final from you.
I prefer Gasquet's game but he will do nothing vs Novak and folds s the rest of the big guys. He's 29 and he's no Stan. His time has come and gone and I want a shake up at the top of the game.

One feels that Gasquet can't shake off that crossing-the-line complex.
he shoudl have make that FH at 15/30 on Kyrios serve. That would have given him 2 MPs.

I've been watching on and off and haven't seen any volleys.
Only one safe CC FH putaway now in the TB.
Nit a single one against Monaco in Wednesday, very disappointing.
That's why I think he is gutless and just a basher.
He is more of a reckless than a confident player.

NK almost stole a second set, but gave it away on a DF. Very deserved win from Gasquet, dominated the baseline exchanges. I wish I could be happy for him, because I like his style, but unfortunately he usually disappoints in the later rounds and doesn't challenge his opponents there.

But this is a later round and he's just beaten a big server.
I think he can take Stan out as well (if Stan beats Goffin)

He might at that and take out the only serious challenge to Djokovic on his way to final. Kyrgios was less likely to take out Wawrinka.noleisthebest wrote:But this is a later round and he's just beaten a big server.
