Re: Predictions: day 3!
After the Frenchie doubles disappointment, I went back to court 4 to see Ana Ivanovic lose to Mattek-Sands.
The whole stadium (read 95% blokes )was desperate for Ana to win, her fiance Sweinsteiger was cheering her with all his might but nothing helped!
Mattek-Sands was just awesome!
Rough as guts with no finesse and grace she just went for it with all she had and played the game as it should be on grass: with tons of heart, volleying to win.
Go girl!!!

I also managed to see a few games of Gasquet and Kristina Mladenovic: what a nice player in every way!
Natural, zero muscle, graceful physique, great serve, no grunt, pure talent.

Re: Predictions: day 3!
And finally...last and least but only in the physical way...
Aleksandra Krunic- Sara Errani!
This is a note to all tennis fans who read this:
if you ever get a chance go and watch Aleksandra and pray she is relaxed, because relaxed she was light night and it was a joy and a delight to watch her.
She is a tiny thing, shorter than even Errani, and half her size, max 40 kgs...absolutely miniature, esp compared to today's 6 ft plus women.
But my oh my....can she strike the ball...can she serve...can she slice...can he balloon, can she go down the line....oh, oh, ooooooh....
I was in heaven watching her as she flew across the court like a mighty butterfly!
The best player I saw all day...and I am not exhaggerating (maybe Mannarino can come close, but he was lazy and naughty in that doubles match so I'm upset with him )
The win was even sweeter with the fact she beat Errani: a doped beefcake, dr Morales' "patient", whose Spanish coach sitting right behind me kept coaching and barking some "encouragements"...
I was so miffed at one stage I said : no coaching! Loud enough that the umpire could hear me (again I was in row one there...shameless, I know )
Errani herself was grunting louder and louder hitting the ball very hard...after one long point, she faked a few wrong tosses (there was nothing wrong with them!) just to catch breath....and I noticed she does it very often in matches.
She has very soft hands though and can hit some beautiful dropshots, but that comes from her doubles play.
Aleksandra Krunic, the mighty mouse as someone called her after she knocked Kvitova out of USO last year, hit them at will from the baseline...and never missed!
What a beautiful match to finish another unforgettable day at Wimbledon.
Love,
nitb

I saw the first 3 games which she lost and I agree I coudl see she had the potential.....just to find out later that she won the next 6 games in that first set. Glad she won...yes huge talent.
