Del Potro requires further wrist surgery
Real shame for tennis, Del Potro's forehand itself added a new element at the top of the game, but tennis fans are going to be kept waiting a bit longer for his return:

Hope his recovery this time can go to plan and we can see him back on tour, I remember watching his forehand at WTF in 2012 and being wowed by it

Yes I saw that. He says he have been going through very dark days. Sad as he is a nice guy.

Re: Del Potro requires further wrist surgery
Yhey all go theough dark times when having these long injuries.
I remember reading Monfils was even suicidal a few years ago.
I am surprised Delpo os having a third surgery on the same wrist...looks like he was not diagnosed or operated on properly.
It must be so frustrating for him. But imagine poor Soderling....or Ancic...they can do nothing about their condition, and the disease wasn't self inflicted like Delpo's injury which must have come from bashing the ball, as he probably has weak wrists.

I don't think it's his bashing of the ball that inflicted that injury. He does bash it with his right wrist essentially but this one is ok now.
We can also blame the retrievers for forcing the attackers to bash the ball.
It's just sad really...as for the others but this thread is about him.
