Paire's got quite a passionate following in NY, such a funky player!

Magical hands at the net from Paire, and he takes the first set in the tiiiie-breeeeeeeeeeeeeeak!
He may be having problems with blisters. I hope nothing too bad.

Paire is so good to watch. You can see he really enjoys playing tennis, he's there like a butterfly just doing his thing: organised chaos in a very elegant and artistic way.
Icing his foot now. Noooooo

Order of play out for tomorrow (Fed-Tabasco, anyone ? ), and yes, Tenez, Ana Ivanovic is on Ashe again, This time not because she's pretty, but she's playing an American. Prime slot. I know.
Murray playing Deliciano, I wonder if Judy will be allowed in the box.
Blake Raonic. Look forward to that one.

And now...to my other restless self and everyone good night

I do not follow women's tennis closely these days but since I do a big portion of my tennis browsing on British websites I have come to follow British players with an extra bit of interest. So - well done to Laura.
Have not seen almost any tennis yet (this will change drastically over the next three days) but by the looks of it pretty exciting tournament so far.

How lethargic from Tomic. He didn't even put a fight of any sort. All he can do is slice and slap the forehand. Looks like a wrong guy is retiring. Some think he may become a top played in future, I am very certain he won't. A 40 year old Fed will play better than what this Tomic can ever do.

This US open hasn't picked up pace for me. Many 5 setters, but most of them are not shown on TV. The prime time ones on Arthur-Ash are so one sided its like virtual walkover, the winner didn't even need to play any good and he wins so comfortably.
And then the ridiculous scheduling.

Watched the Dolgo-Baggy, Kohli-Paire, Tipsy-Baker, DelPo-Harrison (in part), Gasquet-Klahn, Aza-Zheng, Stan-Darcis, Hewitt-Muller (full).
Kerber-Williams became an error fest.
Gulbis played his usual hot-cold game world-beater to Top 300.

Re: US open 2012: ATP Matches of the Day: Day 5
Plenty of matches tomorrow that I will be looking forward to
Murray - Lopez: first opponent who can force Andy to show what form he is in
Blake - Raonic: would love to see Blake extend his USO for one more match
Cilic - Nishikori: In the search for the next great youngster, I have not yet given up on Kei. I know he is not so young anymore, but his progress was stunted by injuries. He has more potential than some of the more highly touted young prospects
Chardy - Klizan: can Klizan follow up on his last win?
also will keep an eye on Berdych's form for a potential later encounter with Roger and also on Jack Sock who I have not seen much before.

Results Day 5:
LF, forgot to predict the matches for yesterday. It was miss. But I've seen ( not here on this forum) this also being used tactically by some just to avoid a possible negative. Missing a day means you get negatives for all matches i.e. all incorrect predictions.

And may I add, I am heartbroken for the spirited and wonderful Paire, who fought valiantly despite bad back and blisters five long sets and lsot in the 5th tie-breaker
