Totally agree. Absolutely dull first week of tennis at US open. And horrible scheduling to make matters worse by having too many women's matches on Ash and Armstrong. Not to mention too many WC given to American players.

Tbh, it took me all my courage to turn up with day one predictions a day late as I knew it was on the verge of being acceptable, but as I knew they were genuine, I hoped nobody would mind too much.

Simon played better than I've ever seen him. Ferrer usually would easily beat these kind of players, but this year... its slide for him..

Yes, he did, he's become a bit more aggressive, my favourite counter-puncher by far. A very intelligent and elegant player.

Oh dear please do dig them up and put them back.  The more the merrier.  If you do not remember your scores, give yourself somewhere around 20 point lead ahead of me after day 6 (it was somewhere around there, do not remember exactly), and let's continue from there.

Who cares who wins in the end, it is all for fun.  The main benefit for me is that with the game I get to pay more attention to some of the matches that I would normally skim over.

You cannot get a much better R4 than that.  And bottom half is also shaping up to have mostly interesting R4 - the only exception being Bautista-Agut vs Granollers

but not surprised...Thiem's got an amazing, natural attacking drive, so rare to see these days.

Dimi does not know what hit him you feel.  But he survives the first game of the second set and I still expect him to win eventually.

Dimi's footwork is lazy esp on his BH and Goffin is making the most of it!
