Nadal Out Of Toronto And Cincy!
This time it's hand injury:
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2014/07/30/uk-tennis-nadal-idUKKBN0FZ1ZC20140730
Are we seeing the repeat of 2012?
Anyone surprised?

No. Not surprised at all.
It's bye bye to his rank points.
I hope this time he comes back and it's all fallen apart on him. I am sick to death of these "injuries".

I read an interesting comment that Nadal is now only interested in slams, i.e. breaking Fed's record and wants to keep himself fresh for USO.
Not to mention his precious H2Hs...

Re: Nadal Out Of Toronto And Cincy!
Very doubtful this is a real injury.
Nadal's confidence is low, supposedly has been tinkering with a new serve (ala us open 2010). He doesnt want to play full stretch leading up to us open to stay fresh ( even fed has skipped Toronto at times). He's not ready for Toronto and take out fluke last year- cinci has been a poor tourny for him- he knows he's not going to defend it. He's never defended one non clay tourny in his career even on the surfaces that favored him. Now that he has won cinci once, it serves no benefit to play it.
This is just a chance to get a clearer shot to cycle up to peak for us open, not take some more losses, and amaze his fans with another "incredible" comeback.

Nadal has never had a real injury. Not one that really could make a difference at any rate. What he does have is a fucked up head caused by his Uncle Moron feeding him shit all his life, a bloated ego, and a ton of excuses for losing because he can't take it. Oh, and devious tactics to shirk his responsibilities as a player so he can rest. There is nothing lovable or likeable about Nadal, unless you are a daft woman who has fallen for his "looks".

Interesting comment about the "new" serve.
I, too thought he doesn't want to lose face pre USO. His ego must be in tatters after the third consecutive Wimbledon fiasco.
I am quite prepared for him missing USO.
Right hand wrist injury IN TRAINING sounds dodgy tbh.
He either fell on it in which case it's a bad one (hard to imagine as he is such an excellent mover) or it's just another fantom one.
Whichever it is, I sure am not going to miss him

If you look at Murray, Del Potro and Soderling... you can see what a real problem is about. Murray hasn't been quite the same since his. Yet Nadal comes back from a "career threatening injury" and scoops up on his least successful surface.. and has one of his best years ever.
Yeah. Right. Only the most blind of people can accept that logic.

Well on the plus nitb, that pretty much sets up Nole for year end no1, barring a disaster.

...and some nice Nole-Fed finals!
I just had a look at ATP Toronto, Nadal is still listed to play, but for some strange reason Fed is seeded 4 behind Stan!
Hope that's an error.

I am sure he's had his fare share of real injuries, just like all other players. It's just strange they never happened during clay season.
How can we forget that "horrific" blister....

Oh yes, the blister of all blisters. All consuming. Everyone was on edge for that... fearing that it would suck the entire universe into its vortex.

As I said a couple years ago, now it is definitely sure that Nadal suffers from Moribundus

Black holes (assuming they actually exist) might suck in a few rocks, but Nadal's injuries threaten the very universe and everything in it.

That has never been proved. It is hypothesized, like much of Black Hole theory. Even if they do, our entire understanding of them changes from day to day and is almost certainly wrong.

Re: Nadal Out Of Toronto And Cincy!
Yes guys, the things as hypothesis and black holes have a lot of common with Nadal's patellas and cubital houses for sure.
Something from current Nadal's injury:
http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2014/jul/30/rafael-nadal-wrist-injury-us-open-2014-tennis
The player felt some pain during practice in Mallorca. After some tests the doctors found a minor detachment of the posterior cubital tunnel of his right wrist.
“The cubital tunnel houses the ulnar nerve, which runs from the elbow to the fingers and is colloquially known as the ‘funny bone’.
“The player must remain for two or three weeks with an immobilisation cast on his right wrist. Depending on the evolution of the injury … it will be decided when to return to competition.”
Nadal is a poor little girl, I am so sorry for him.
So, great effort from his doctors to find a reason for his pain, that is amazing.
The exciting point is that doctors say that they need to wait two or three weeks after ending of his wrist imobilization, but Nadal himself knows that he will be ready for US open. He just knows more than doctors. He should have accepted the PhD title from a Spain University this year, he would surely deserve it.

Re: Nadal Out Of Toronto And Cincy!
The more of this medical mumbo-jumbo we are served, the harder it is to believe there is anything wrong with Nadal.
Not only is he a freak player, but also has freak injuries: fat in the kneecap, black hole blister, tunnels in the wrist, ruining his knee by walking into a table in the hotel lobby.... anyone remembers that cramping scene from a press conference....I mean really!!!!!
We have to give team Nadal one thing: they have provided us with plenty of entertainment over the years

Talking of injuries and sports medicine, an interesting article from a Serbian medical prof. about the role of joints rotation in modern tennis:
http://sport.blic.rs/Tenis/256995/Profesor-Ilic-otkriva-tajnu-uspeha-Novak-je-vec-supermen-a-moze-jos-mnogo-vise
sorry, I am a bit busy to translate it atm, but google should do the trick for those interested.

It hasn't. I have read up on it, and I am very well acquainted with Physics. The word "theory" is also different than the way it is used in evolution (which is a fact). If you look at different websites, and at what different scientists are saying, you will see that some think they are real (most of them, at the present time), and some do not.
Even Hawking has now changed his mind on massive parts of his own work,
http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2014/01/140127-black-hole-stephen-hawking-firewall-space-astronomy/
which everyone ran around calling fact only a few years ago. Black Holes are not a fact. There is no conclusive proof either way that they do or do not exist. There is some math that allows for them, some math that suggests they have been found, and some math that simply doesn't work and suggests Black Holes are a load of hocum.
You need to read up on it.
Even the wikipedia article says this:
A black hole is a region of spacetime from which gravity prevents anything, including light, from escaping.[1] The theory of general relativity predicts that a sufficiently compact mass will deform spacetime to form a black hole.
That's "predicts". And general relativity is also wrong, by the way. Like Newtonian physics was wrong. It will one day be superseded by a more complete model.
The best proof of Black Holes is actually Nadal's injuries.

I do believe Nadal has played up on injuries that were not there and I do believe that Nadal has had real injuries of which none us believed. ....like I believe that injuries can be there and toned down or blow out of proportions nd none of us here now what Nadal's are about.
We are only speculating here....but that's what this forum is all about!
