Murray is not playing badly, his game looks better than ever, in fact, just so tiny compared to Fed's.

That was a very smart play from Fed in that long rally he won just before the set point.
Interesting to see how scared Murray was to attack and he had so many chances to do it with his excellent CCBH , in the end pulled the trigger down the line as he got nervous and missed.

shame Fed wasted that BP! I would have fancied Fed to execute the perfect lob there....under other circumstances.

...and as a result of that abandoning the grinding rallies now, playing much more aggressively and shortening points, which is good for Fed.

Instead of Advantage Murray - Advantage Federer, then he corrected himself with a little cough.

It is, as I said the other day, Murray has gone Nadal way and really juiced his shots.
I hope Fed wraps this in straights.

What a shame Dimi lost. By far the better player, but pusher Nadal could retrieve way too much as usual. Come on Fed!

yes if there was still a weakness in Fed it is this confidence on key points.....but he is getting there.

If he can take his chances against Nadal, he has every chance of killing him off. And he should beat Murray. The question is, does Fed believe he can beat the pusher?

Murray has such a weak weak temperament. Never seen a player shout so much and get so agitated. He will lose far more than he will win. And that should be a warning.

Murray should forfeit a point for obstructing play with this net hitting.
Is there a rule for it?

Fed cautious again.
Just so not used to seeing it, but I can understand. It's better to build confidence slowly ad gradually than play Russian roulette like he had to last year.
I'm pretty sure he'll turn the heat on towards the end of the set, though.

Federer seems to get very defensive on these big break points. Nowadays. He's squandered 7 now... that's not good.

Give some credit to Murray, he is bludgeoning the ball into the BH side, not easy to be aggressive in that situation for Fed.
