Was he? didn't he loses his first 4 finals?

How sick and disgusting is the crowd to cheer JJ's double fault so loudly.
The lowest of the low.
That much for knowledgeable and polite image they are trying to sell; nothing but a cheap and thin veneer.....not that I ever doubted it.

That body's shot must have felt good for JJ
Roof coming on.
Despite JJ's previous complaining, Murray's right, there's at least 45 minutes left of good play light, esp as there's not a single cloud in the sky.
Still, the break and roof should favour JJ, bring on the 5th set!

He was, Mac could confirm that for sure or he would rather go out for any critic to Ivan

I totally agree on the grass, but not on clay or slower surfaces. But he is pleasure to watch, no doubts.

I really hate Murray's c'moning of opponent's UEs. Complete and utter creep.

Ah...I thought it was the Parisian crowd...or the Spanish one...or the US one....
Deep down we are all the same!

I disagree there. I am not a fan of Djoko but he is easier to like from a neutral standpoint. Murray has a lot of the winning ugly culture. he is full of mean tricks.

That may be the case, I was just pointing out that I have seen Djokovic celebrate on a big point even if his opponent has hit an error.Tenez wrote:Julia Santamaria wrote:I have seen Djokovic do the same.

btw Tenez, what 'mean tricks' is it you think Murray does?
I think his action of berating himself during a match probably hinders him more than anything else... although he has cut down on that now.

He is full of tricks. Like faking injuries, shouting "out" while his opponent hits close to lines to drop his intensity, C'moning on his opponent's stupid errors, etc... It's all negative tennis.
It's clear cause like today he had no choice, he could not have stopped a player with better shots than him. He had to drag him down to his lower level. Not very different to what Nadal does. I guess this is why he takes Nadal as the example to follow.

Shame to see a promising talent like JJ lose, but he is a class act! His post match interview shows great promise both in class, mentality, and focus. No excuses, only focusing on what he can learn from the experience and how to move forward from there! I'm hoping him all the best into getting into the top 10 this year, and even further next year! I was really sad to se JJ's heart broken as he started his service game and went love 30.
He double faulted twice after that and his eyes were full of tears. The invisible ones, of course.
I've never seen it like that...in the middle of a game. It was a very poignant moment and the crowd didn't recognise it.
All that hard fight, passion and growling, melted away in the moment of seeing the face of defeat stare at him.
To heroic JJ , from his fellow Pole Chopin & NITB :

I remember the close up of his face at that very moment, but what i saw was exhaustion and acceptance. I'm sure he wasn't too sad in the end, he'll won't have any regrets.
About Murray -and let's be clear, the fact i'm not as negative about him as most of you here doesn't mean i'm a fan- i think he played better the second part of the match. Better than he did the previous rounds. He finally had confidence in his attacking shots and this means he'll have a chance against Djoko. His play against Verdasco was dreadfull and with that game he's harmless against Djoko. But based on the second part of the match yesterday it could get exiting.
I'm not sure i'll watch the final because we finally have some nice whether here. I don't really have a preference, i guess i'll support the one who gets behind or the one who's shortening the rallies. Djoko needs to make sure he'll keep his focus. If he starts to complain about the bias of the audience, he'll be in trouble.
Most of all i'm sad Delpo lost. He's a hero.

Yes agree about Delpo's loss. I really like him actually. I think JJ should improve from there. He really wants it.
