1. Ernests Gulbis (LAT) I'd like Tsonga to win...but I feel he will have trouble handling Gulbis pace.
2. Roger Federer (SUI) [3]
3. Julien Benneteau (FRA) [31]
4. Radek Stepanek (CZE)
5. Nicolas Mahut (FRA)
6. Lukasz Kubot (POL) ...sadly. I dislike Kubot!

Who is the better returner Tsonga or Gulbis, I can't remember.
I think they are both OK, will be definitely very interesting. I am even going to watch Murray-Lu in hope

Re: Wimbledon 2013: Day3
12:04Belgian journalist Filip Dewulf is reporting that Steve Darcis will NOT play his second-round match against Lukasz Kubot because of a shoulder injury. No confirmation from the tournament officials at this stage. I will keep you posted.

Further bad news!
John Isner retires hurt
11:58Horrible for Isner, who tweaked his left knee in the opening game and cannot continue. Adrian Mannarino gets an almost free pass into round three where he'll face Lleyton Hewitt or Dustin Brown. Brown leads that one 3-2 on serve on No.2 Court.

watching Troicki-Kuznetsov Troicki 2:0, hoping to cheer a bit for him on Friday if he wins today, will switch to Hewitt Brown now.
I remember Brown wanting UK citizenship after he had a good run I forgot in which major tournament now, and they turned him down so he took German a few years ago....
JJ a set up against Step.

Since Fed played twice in a row on CC, should he win, he will most likely be put on C1....sadly! Unless Murray does instead of Federer.

What a funny contrast between the red-faced, mega pumped Hewitt and totally chilled-out relaxed looking Brown

Hewitt claws his way back in the 3rd set TB....his eyeballs are going to pop out of his head if he tries to pump himself any harder

Gulbis Tsonga starting any minute, so happy they are playing on CC.
Murray ahving to play on C1 as a result.
A big for Wimbledon, this would never happen at AO, USO or RG.

The AE is certainly doing well this year....though I have seen fair scheduling in the other slams....Certainly USO and FO....AO's is really dodgy though.noleisthebest wrote:Gulbis Tsonga starting any minute, so happy they are playing on CC.

I didn't realise this Robert Paire is playing is also French. I was almost annoyed with the umpire with the way he was pronouncing his name, so went and checked, I really thought he was American (he certainly looks it!)

Tsonga gets the 1st set with a double break. That answered my question who the better returner is he,he.

Well from what I saw it confirms how erratic Gulbis is at times. But I agree that Tsonga returns better than I had anticipated.

Gulbis's serve is letting him down today, it's hard for him to play his game without it.

Woaahhh shame Tsinga got injured. Looks like they are all picking easy injuries on this surface.

Yes, the list is worryingly long for just one day:Tenez wrote:Woaahhh shame Tsinga got injured. Looks like they are all picking easy injuries on this surface.
complete w/o from Azarenka, Darcis & Cilic
retirements from Stepanek and Isner, and that's just from what I've picked up, maybe there are even more.
Paire slipped many times. I think it's a lot to do with so many players not knowing how to move on grass.
Some players never seem to slip.

And Federer shoudl be careful cause he also got hurt in 2010 and 2011...not sure exactly what happened but did not look very mobile those 2 years.

Sharapova a set and a break down, I think she is playing that Portugese player who screams twice as loud as she does
Tuned in to double check and I was right, that noise should be illegal!
Sharapova taking a tactical MTO.
