Seeing Chatrier packed, I am soooooo happy I never ended up getting the ticket for the final, that would have been a total disaster!

Mind you, listening to ITV's worshipping moron commentator comes pretty close....

That's a perferct start for Ferrere, a love service hold, apparently it took him 42 slams to reach his first ever final.
Let's hope he can last today and use a bit of the experience from the last two matches.
You just never know, do you? (unless you are Blueclay, of course Winking )

Nadal's strategy is very clear: to wear out Ferrer as much and as quickly as possible. No imagination, just the plain old bludgeoning.
Enjoy indeed!

My only question is can he physically last 5 sets (or however long he needs). Very, very hard. The only hope is Nadal does not look that fresh, in fact.

Don't you just love it when all those "superpower" FHs get wasted and Ferrer wins the point.
Silly tactic to switch from attacking Nadal's BH to FH in that point....although ...it worked in this one just now catching Nadal out off balance!

Nadal is pretty aggressive today cause he knows he will tire soon. Ferrer tries to extends rallies a bit more.

The problem with Ferrer he just does not have any weapons whatsoever, the best he can do is wear Nadal out. Sad but true....still good enough to make Nadal hit himself on the head! Laugh

Especially on wet conditions cause in Rome and Madrid it was him with the better more aggressive shots.

Let's look at the bright side rotla. I am pretty sure that Nadal will go in the first week of Wimbledon again. He has not played on grass for a long time. He had only few matches last year and that might be teh main reason why he did not do well at Wimby.

Quiet a few players now will be able to stop him on HC too.

I think he withdrew from Halle, too. So long as they don't fill his first week with Lopezes and Youzhnys of this world...

His main aim was to win RG upon return, and his biggest challenge was going to be Djokovic. None from the other half could have stopped him. He might even challenge for the YE #1 spot and I'm being serious.

commentators wondering how i Nadal able to recover miraculously after very tiring matches and almost fresh as a daisy.

Funny.. Have they never heard about PEDs?

How realistic is that to happen with the way he has been treated during his entire career, right down to giving preferential treatment in deciding whether the court should be watered down at 6 all in the fifth set....
I just wish there were more Serenas among men, he can't hack it when a player takes it to him.

I am actually very often right. JUst Nadal and his doctors often wrong foot me.

Anyway, let's close this thread by reminding people a chilling truth...210 PED contaminated blood bags are being destroyed in Spain by Spanish "justice".....while Nadal wins another slam by over powering and over lasting everybody in the field. .

So BC are you going to say how many slams Nadal Fed and Djokovic and Murray are going to win. Please Give exact number. Its very easy to say someone else was wrong, but at least he tried. So you can try as well and answer in numbers.

How many? Not sure how many Nadal will win but I am pretty sure 12 is not it. I will say that I do think Nadal will at least equal Pete Sampras' slam count of 14. I think Nadal is a big danger to both Pete's and Roger's counts.Djokovic? I think he will end up with around 9 or so? Murray? I think he may win a couple of more and end up with 3 or 4. Federer? He is probably done but if he gets very very lucky he may win one more, so 17 or 18 for him.
