Re: London 2012 Olympics : Match Of The Day (Round 1)
Missed the opening ceremony, it was too late night for my time zone and I was too tired from work. And sadly even missed the replays in the morning . Lets hope another round of its is soon shown up.
really excited to see the start of Olympics today. Some good matches lined up today. I'm not sure any full match will be telecast on TV given the number of parallel events going on.

The first scalp of London 2012, Berdy falling in straight sets to Darcis of Belgium 4-6 4-6. One potential danger for Murray cleared before he set a foot on court.

Unebelieavable loss from Berdych...really didn't expect it.
Not surprised about Nalbandian. Saw the same match on day one of Wimbledon, Nalbandian does not play well on grass.
He looks so last era at the moment...

Roger scraped through that one!!
Falla was returning really well off Rogers 1st serve and plead like he had nothing to lose, really going for his shots and creating some incredible angles
Roger played like he has everything to lose thats why he was so tight

Article updated with tomorrow's order of play.
Interesting that Tsonga plays on centre instead of Djokovic.

Yes. Fed elaborated on the nature of the pressure that cost him the 3 match points:
“When I play for Switzerland I
try to be a good ambassador as I travel around for eight months of the year.
But it's different having the Swiss cross on your jersey and you do feel the
pressure. It's not something that we're used to; everybody's talking about it
on the street in Switzerland. It
only comes every four years so it's unusual and I feel that too.”
From atp web article.

Agree. Looks like a fallen X'mas tree with the colorful ornaments splattered all over the place in August. A visual chaos. Purple/pink belongs in a bordello anyway. I'm shocked.

It does seem unfair, although I can understand national interest starting today with Murray in CC while Nole in C1. Could they not have put Nole in a later slot in CC while moving Tsonga to C1 instead? :?:

The organisers have done everything to disadvantage Novak. From giving him the worst possible draw, right down to scheduling his matches the way they are. And still, it won't help Murray to win it. When will they learn....
