I play in classic white Springcourts, I don't think anyone plays in those any more

Third set here we come!
I wish Ferrer would stop jumping like a baboon on the baseline before receiving...I think we've all got the message how fit and full of energy he is...unless he is trying to disturb the server's concentration...pretty weird thing to do, isn't it?

His serve went away, Feru has more aces and less DF. Haas must hold his serve and wait for his chances. Oh, his chance already came.

He made one too many a DF...and his backhand went a bit....but looks better in the 3rd, just broke Ferrer.
He's got to cling to his serve now and get the job done safely. He is experienced enough to be able to do it. Not expend and waste any energy on Ferrer's service games as Ferrer is making him run a lot and Haas just has to be very efficient with whatever he's got left in the tank right now..

Haas's timing is off atm. His only way is to go at the net, what he does. Experienced enough.

Yes, he fell into Ferrer's trap and did too much running. His legs must be spent by now.

NO, especially if he's got nothing left in the legs.
Ferrer beginning to look tired, too, but not as bad as Haas.
It will be interesting to see how crosses the finish line first....

It is going to be the great grinding final. I do not believe Gasquet against Murray.

"It’s incredible effort that guy is putting in, incredible level. The first set between Andy and Dimitrov in Brisbane in January was the best tennis I have seen this year. If you can last at your level and he drops then all of a sudden you are the better player. That’s what the training is for.”
So Lendl, the legend who knows a bit about tennis is saying that talent won't get you anywhere against those beep beeps as talent loses its edge after a set? Well you coudl read that on my posts 4 years ago......And I am glad Lendl is not talking about mental there....he knows more than anyone that it's about physique.
Lendl knows his stuff....it's depressing but he is right.

Poor Grigor...these days it's all about being an "athlete"....though an extra step in his movement wouldn't go amiss.
And as I have learnt this week, stamina can only get better with age

Maybe but 7 years ago he woudl have been seen as a great athlete. So it's clearly all relative. I remember how impressed I was at Federer's footwork back then. Still the best imo but a bit slow compared to those new guys.
Dimi has to gain confidence. He won Wimbledon when young so I think his mind his stromg and just needs to believe he can do beat those top guys, unlike the top guys he is not relying on amazing footworka dn stamina so it might take a bit more time.

Good point...
Novak has transformed a bit in that way since he hired Muster's former fitness coach. He has really conditioned his legs and made the most of them.
Dimitrov should do the same.
He is very close anyway.

Who is bashing the forehand harder, Nadal or Murray?
Who of the two can last longer?
Imagine the two play a slam final on a Larry-style painted court.

Murray's FH look great an with very good serving there is nothing what Gasquet can do it. Lendl's work brings some fruits.

Murray throwing the long rallies in..and Gasquet standing too far back...doing the running Murray wants him to do.
The difference is that Murray can put the pace into his shots cause he s simply much more bulky.

Murray looks like he's already run out of his magic FH juice...not even a set this time, and I am not surprised, he really went for it.

I'm sure Gasquet could hit it twice as hard if he bashed the ball like Murray. He's got a great natural pace of both wings with half the physical effort Murray puts in.

Love every single long rally Gasquet wins. Murray takes those particularly badly

Great match. That's something Murray pushes to the net, but still a bit more nervous than Gasquet.

Yes when those guys start to play properly we wonder about why they are not doing better and usually beaten by the less creative players.

Goodall hoping Gasquet might suffer physically in the 3rd set (unllike Robbie) and tells us for the zillionth time how intelligent Murray is.
If ever I see him, I'll make sure I'll let him know what I think of his commentating
