Wouldn't it be something if Rosol won the match with a crazy return!

Czechs are pretty aggressive, it was not the first time. Last year Berd was pretty upset by Almagro played in his body and now, he learned it as well
Funny rally

Rosol manages to slice a forehand by accident and wins a point with Chiudinelli netting it

Berd is the best player on the court so far, he has matured. After he has changed his girl, he has become better player, it is so easy

I noticed that as well. They look a happy couple. I'm glad he cut that girly long hair as well he used to have when he was with Safarova

Fed should rather carry his Mirka, Stan is quite adult
I need also something to eat, a bit of strudle will help

Berd with Lucy Safarova were together a long time and when they were together they looked like an old married couple.
With Ester is different.
Now they play the longest DC match in history, 6:23 h

I do not know. I rather think that he says himself, such a long match, they can not have any talent. Only talentless play such never ending boring tennis

Yes, I heard that Nostramadus said that on this day someone would get a batch of talent, who will really need it on this day for World tennis salvation and wait moment, maybe also on today, but it is not so important.

Berd said that they had needed to harmonize their double on the court and therefore they had prolonged the match so much

Tennis-wise, that was the worst doubles match I've seen in a long time...

He said this as a joke, it did not sound arrogantly. Both looked pretty exhausted.
I enjoyed it, but frankly they should play something as a super tie-break in the fifth. It is a nonsense to play 1st round in DC all three matches and thereof the double 7 hours.

Re: DAVIS CUP: Round One
I know it's terrible to play that long, but that's what makes those matches memorable and special....both teams wanted to win so badly.
So the loss is going to hurt.

As second Rosol with Laaksonen. It is not decided at all. If Stan wins, then I do not believe much to Rosol.
Rosol repeated that he believes, that he will not have to play his the tomorrow´s match.
Stan with Berd, I see it as quite opened for both. Stan did not play well today, on the other hand Berd is not the fittiest player. I am rather for Stan.
Everything is opened till the last point here.

Yes, absolutely. Although the surface was quite fast, they played 7 hours . I am really curious about Berd with Stan match.
It starts at 12 30 CET.

Re: DAVIS CUP: Round One
Berd beats Stan 3:1. I have not seen so fragile and shaky forehand as Stan had today. Berd showed better nerves and composure, more winners, so won deservedly.
Next round DC, Czechs play with Kazakhstan on their soil.

Re: DAVIS CUP: Round One
Berd beats Stan in 4 sets 4th set tie-break, coming from 0:3 down.
Stan played a brave match (watched the 4th set only), but wasn't able to hold his own in that tie-break, Berd was not calculating, attacked from the word go and it paid off.
It was sad to see Stan lose the match sending the CC BH bounce off the net cord out, should've gone for BHDTL, Stan!
Anyway, excellent tie that was, with lot of excitement, as a Davis Cup match should be, worthy of a final, not a mere 1st round match.
It's a shame Federer didn't play, you can see how much Swiss team miss him.

Re: DAVIS CUP: Round One
Elsewhere, France goes through with am maximum 5:0 score.
Cilic two sets up against Seppi, trying to give Croatia a chance to play the deciding 5th match, which would be Fognini-Dodig.
Canada still to play Spain later this evening ( at the moment 2:1)
Raonic needs to beat Granollers.
Same with Brazil USA (1:2) after Brazilian doubles team pulled off a surprise win over Brian Brothers last night.
Isner playing Bellucci in the 4th match.
So: Serbia, France, Argentina, CZ Republic, Kazakhstan thorugh.

Re: DAVIS CUP: Round One
bit of a shock as italy win through 3-2,
brazil from 2-0 down are now 2-2 with alves serving for a 1 set lead against querrey
and a very weak spain team are out 3-1 to canada!
