Sergueï Bubka junior falls from a 4 storey building, seriously injured ...
According to French outlet rmcsport.fr Bubka, who dates Belarusian world no1 Victoria Azarenka, sustained multiple fractures after falling from his friend's flat on Avenue de Camoens at 7am on Thursday morning.
The accident occurred when Bubka found himself locked in a bathroom. He tried to reach the next room through a window but lost his balance and fell.
The 25 year-old was rushed to Georges Pompidou hospital and his condition is said to be non life-threatening
His father Sergei Snr, is considered to be best pole vaulter in history having broken the world record 35 times.
He was also the first to clear 6.0m and the only (as of July 2012) to clear 6.10m (20ft).

Poor guy! End of his career but I guess that's teh least of his worries now. Wishing him a full recovery.

He was a decent player saw him play in Dubai this year.
A bit ironic that the son of someone who could jump so high missed his landing...

How terrible, wow what a silly way to lose an athletic career. What a terrible tragedy. My condolences to his fans and family.

Yes, it's terrible....and it reminds me how close I was once of doing the same thing.....except there would have been no way I'd have recovered from the fall from a 6th floor to a pavement. I hesitated 30mn..even throwing my leg over the frail fence....and then gave up on the idea. I was a pretty mad daredevil younger.

You are still a daredevil Tenez. But yes so unbelievable such split second decisions ruining a young man's life. Well lets hope he comes back as a stronger and better person with as little pain as possible.

Why do posters think his career is over? Muster, Blake and many others have recovered from injuries.

Latest on the Parisian Skyfall:
Sergei Bubka Jr. is improving after sustaining multiple fractures in a
three-story fall earlier this month, the ATP reports. The 25-year-old
Ukrainian has been undergoing six hours of physical therapy daily. Last
week, Bubka also began swimming.
Bubka said he doesn't remember the fall, which happened when he fell out of a bathroom window at a friend’s apartment in Paris.
