Very pleased for tiger wood. Did not watch any of it but glad to see him back somehow.

Could be the first of a second long series.

It could well be for sure. I have to say I was backing him after the 2nd round. He may not have the power he used to, but his course management over the weekend was sublime. Without a doubt Molinari folded on the back 9 in the final round shooting 2 over for it. The 12th was key with Finau and Molinari finding the drink and Koepka earlier. Woods touch around the green was phenomenal. Everything had the right line, just slight issues with pace.

What shone through was his iron play. The greens softened up with moisture and players who play with lots of spin were forced to either be more aggressive and shoot for the pins or face longer putts. Some of his approach play was vintage. 5-6 feet short of the hole.

It's not the Tiger of old for sure. He isn't the biggest hitter on the tour now. However the putting and approach play is looking really good and good enough to beat most of the field. I think yesterday was validation for him to know if he is within 1 shot or 2 of the leader on the final day of a Major, odds are he will catch them.

Was gutted for Poulter. Yet again gives himself a chance and just doesn't have the power to hit a run of birdies and keep bogeys off the scorecard.

Great to see Tiger back winning Majors, but also contending them. Jack's record for sure is now back on the table!
