Re: ATP500: Dubai, Acapulco
No you misread what I said. The weak competition I was referring to is the current generation who are in their 20s. That point I made was actually backing you up, i.e. Djokovic could be worse as a player compared to before but still be as successful due to this young gen being so weak.Daniel2 wrote:If you honestly believe that, Decima, then you're as helpless and hapless as Tenez - though I rather suspect you're just trying to troll. Which is sad. NAdal was winning all his clay titles during the same era - and the bulk of his titles also.
Federer is still winning in his mid to late 30s. So it's nothing to do with a weak era.
There absolutely is a grey area. In fact the whole area is extremely grey. Even the results are a primary indicator, but as I just explained other factors mean it's impossible for anyone to prove their case.Daniel2 wrote:
There's no grey area for either of you.
I love taking the piss out of Tenez when he gets it wrong, and most of his Nadal predictions have been wrong. However are you not going to acknowledge at all that before 2017 he said that players get better as they get older, and since then Federer and Nadal have both played world class tennis, and now Djokovic looks unstoppable aged 31?Daniel2 wrote:then you're as helpless and hapless as Tenez

OK guys,
You’re so full of sh*t, I don’t even care to engage any more.
The depth of ignorance hurts...but not me...mind you it doesn’thurt you either because to you it’s bliss.
So, hey, “lucky” you.
Tenez, valiant effort, God bless you. I have learnt so much from you. So your effort has not gone in vain.
Viva tennis, which as Rog said the other day (and Nole nodded) in is in good hands.

Then I apologize for the misread - but not the idea Djok can reach 20 slams. It ain't happening. Tenez only thinks so because he has this notion that players get better and better and better. Previously stated that they don't decline until 40s.
