Re: US Open prediction game! Day 6
I don’t understand this game. Why does Kyrgios get odds of 15-1 against Federer and why don’t the stakes always get factored to a unit?

Im only going by the rules i was taught.
THis is easy.
Goffin is seeded 10, if you correctly pick him, you get 10 points. 33 points for unseeded players.

I’m amazed at the speed of the court/balls. This is the slowest USO ever.
in any case Fed’s baseline game still looks rubbish. It s like he’s lost all confidence in his rallying partic on the BH

2/10 points won in second serve for fed so far.
Tells you exactly where his baseline game is at the mo.

Well, watching this up to 4-4 Federer looked nowhere near good enough but he’s found it all for sure.
This might be portrayed as a Kyrgios head fail but a Federer has been playing properly.

Well that was crazy. Federer goes from looking hopeless to pretty much going into God mode. He was eating the 1st serve of a Kyrgios by the end, and the exho shots started to flow. That round the net barely made it 6 inches off the floor.
Great stuff, after the first 2.1 matches it was barely believable.

We need to ask Nike, but it's probably hidden into black-ops expenses

To be clear, I meant Fed's performance, not Rafa's draws.summerblues wrote:Stunning.
From 5:4 in the first set, Fed was astonishingly good.
I did not feel very good early on. Fed's ground strokes were horrible, he was not returning Nick's serves very well, and only his serve was keeping it close. I was worried that Nick would eventually get a read on that serve and that the score would not even be respectable.
And then it all changed. Nick never got better returning Fed's serves, but Fed started to return his serves far better. Most importantly, Fed's ground game started to look quite good too.
Some of his shots were unreal.

Felt a little sorry for Korgis interview, it's all mental, been playing last 4 years hard, i should of/can do better etc etc. guess it's sinking into him after some years on tour and expectations.

Zverev is so limited. If by some miracle Federer plays him in the semi, Fed will mince him up.

This is how media portrays half-truth to paint a picture fueled by a propaganda.bogbrush wrote:Jeez.

Its not the draw, its Nadal early exits which have avoided him facing any top-20 opponents.
2014 - DNP
2015 - Lost to Fognini[32] in rnd 3
2016 - Lost to Poulli[24] in 4th rnd
2017 was a very lucky a rare year. He was to face Fed[2] but Fed lost to DelPo[24]. All other top-20 seeds lost in earlier rounds. Nothing to do with the draw.
I still don't but this draw rigging theory.
Barring last year which was incredibly lucky for him, he was

You might not believe it but you cannot deny that from the day Nadal said Djoko was his toughest opponent, his toughest opponent found himself on Federer's side 14 times out of 16....until some people pointed it out.....

I'm sorry but I don't remember Nadal ever saying that. This sort of thing I would expect from Murray or the net-gen who are still in awe of the Fed-Nadal.

Until 4-4 Federer was rubbish - then he played well - but then again he was put under zero pressure from Kyrgios who basically played his standard brain dead tennis from that point onwards.
Federer is gonna have to play better than that to beat Djokovic who basically looks right back in the groove. The trouble is this court is slow and it's gonna e very tough for Fed to beat Djokovic under these conditions. Federer's gonna be under pressure in most of his service games against Screech. Can he return well enough to do the same and will that BH hold up?

Re: US Open prediction game! Day 6
He certainly has a beastly run to the title if he wants to do it, with the toughest challenge up first (not Millman).
It’s hard to say. Federer blows hot & cold and yet.. he was utterly abysmal in Cincy losing 4 & 4. By that I mean, he played bad enough to lose by baked goods but didn’t.
I think by the 3rd set Kyrgios was playing well but Federer really seemed in the groove and I saw that body shape typical of the “new backhand” delivery, moving into the court taking the ball on the rise. That’s the shot, other than the serve, that’s needed to defeat a roadrunner.

No. I would need more proof of it. Right now it's only possibilities.
And can you remember when Nadal said Djokovic was his toughest opponent? It sure is not going to be before 2014. So do you remember which year?
