This rain break ah... totally broke Deigo's momentum.. its so imp.. in tennis. Allowed Nadal readjust, discuss with team and play.

First Rome was saved by Rain, now even RG...

lets see, but its obvious momentum was broken for little diego

rain saved nadal but also rain conditions were part of the cause of his big trouble before suspension

The bounce looks at lest 20cm higher today than yesterday...hopefully Schwartzy can adjust.

Schwartzy has got his teeth in the match. Let's see if he can at least take us to the fifth.

btw, does anyone else see him as a mini version of Delpo? Same game and good, competitive head on the shoulders

The time Nadal takes at 30/15 is ridiculous! It completely throws off the the opponent's timing.

Schwartz make Nadal run then instead of keep on rallying, he attempts a drop shot or goes for a risky shot....That's where Djokovic was very good. He kept plugging!

Not watching, and I see Nadal is being made to struggle to hold is own serve, but if he does that feels like a decisive shift.  If so, Nadal will probably be able to catch the last set or two by whoever will be his exhausted SF opponent as they start the 3rd set, one set apiece with 2hrs 20 on the clock already.

I believe there is one single point on which every match turns.
Schwartzy's one today was that easy missed overhead for the break point.

The match finished then.

Possibly. But his winners today are way lower than yesterday....and this explains that.

This is why professional tennis tend to rely much less on talent/form of the...and why Nadal once again will pull through. Simply because his opponent could not keep up consistently that higher standard.

I think only because of dry clay and higher bounce. That is the only difference between today and yesterday.

I've been watching the same Nadal story for years and still can't get my head around how he is able to win so much with such low grade tennis.

In damp conditions Nadal is beatable by almost all the remaining players.

He was, not for the first time, very fortunate that the weather tipped over into full rain yesterday. Had damp drizzle maintained we'd be looking at who would be the first time winner at RG.

oday Nadal played at an ok level, not excellent, but ok.

And Schwartzman was 50% effective compared with yesterday

conditions, and mental preassure played their role

a bad day saved with luck and lots of experience, tomorrow will be harder... for the first time I really sense there can be a new winner

Exactly, he would just be another Gaudio. But his luck and weak umpires make him look unstoppable.

You tend to think it's all in Nadal's racquet. It is not.

Nadal always played badly versus those who had power from both sides: Davydenko, Delpo, Soderling, Nalbandian, Djoko, etc..
