Why is #2 seed having to play on Court 1 when #20 seed gets to play on Lenglen?  I can understand they put French players on show courts, but that is not the case here.  Bizarre.

#20 seed is a former RG champion and 12 slam winner.
#2 hasn't reached a Slam QF.

Nole is looking very close to his best self. FH probably better than before. Going for corners and DTL with ease and great precision. Cruising in 3rd gear vs Nadal's student Munar who has quite good groundstrokes.
Not sure about the stamina over 5 sets.

He must be at least 5kgs lighter than when he won RG in '16.

Gutty is a good player, esp on faster surfaces, but he has his limits.

Zverev's tennis is all about grinding, yet he doesn't have the mind to grind, gives up easily, hates doing it.
He knows how soul-destroying it is.

one question, is anybody really counting the points in the prediction game?

LS will add points when he can, it's not done on a daily basis since the days when I was running the show.

I am sure noone would mind if you wanted to start the thread with the scoreboard and add the points regularly.

They are all being outplayed, too "precious" to get their hands dirty and fight...

So it took Zverev five sets to outlast a good but much lower ranked SBH-er Lajovic, who could've beaten him in 3.

Wow, Donaldson literally has a stiff left leg, he is dragging it like it's wooden!
So cramped he can't serve at all, even tries underhand serving.
Yet, breaks Dimi who can't serve the match out....

Finally, Dimi does it second time of asking.

Pathetic of Dimi to bend and kiss hisboth knees as a "celebration"....I think I've seen it all now....

When I see Tsitsipas play, I am kind of reassured about the future of tennis.

There is him, Shapo, Rublev, ok even Chung and probably a few more in the pipeline on their way...quality players with good games.

Give it another two years and we'll be having fun watching RG again!

So, Nadal on S. Langlen tomorrow...I have a good feeling Pella may get his teeth stuck in the match tomorrow!

Yeah, right! Novak's been losing to low ranked mugs for two years now. Nadal should firmly take note of that!   

As for Zverev and his one-dimensionality, like him or not, he'll be winning slams in the near future. I wonder how this version of Novak will do against a zoning Zverev? It could be ugly for Novak. But first Novak has to get by players like Bautista-Agut and Goffin.

Pretty depressing.  It does not matter what draw Rafa gets as these guys would struggle to advance to meet him from anywhere in the draw.
