I pay per month...if and when I need it. It turns out cheaper this way.

Djoko's odds at 4.25 are very tempting. I have not bet for a long while.

BTW, I noticed over the last few days that when I log onto the ATP website, my chrome browser crashes as my pc says I am using too much memory. It doesn't do it when I am not logging onto the ATP site.

Am I the only one with that glitch?

Fair enough.  If I could watch bet 365 here, maybe I would not subscribe to tennis tv either.  Tennis TV allows me to watch matches after they are done, but that alone might not convince me to pay for it.  But bet 365 is not available here, so tennis tv it is.

I saw the highlights of Nole-Nishi. It's better by both but in Nole is still not the returning machine he used to be.
When i think of Nole dominating Nadal, the first thing that pops up is his return of serve. Everytime the ball landed nearly on Nadal's feet. Nadal didn't have the slightest advantage on serve and if he looks every game at 30-30 or deuce, he'll crack eventually.
If Nole finds the right length on his returns, Nadal's in trouble.

For now, Nadal is strong favorite imo

Yes. That is the missing link for him atm.

I never thought return would be the most sensitive aspect of a player's return, always thought it to be the serve.

Nadal is in his super beast mode. He is investing everything in this first set.
It would be great if Nole could break back and put more pressure on Nadal just to see how long he can last like this.

It might take longer for Djoko to get to the top. I think he should be able to get back quickly if his elbow is ok. Doesn't mean he will dominate like before cause the youngsters are progressing quick.

If Djoko wins, it will confirm many of my points:
Average + Djoko is better than the best of Nadal on clay.
Nadal gets tired when extending rallies (don't think that news. It's a fact proven on many occasions).
Djoko can quickly return to the top...and federer (and me) should be worried.

I suspect it is going to be a close match...but Djoko has a good chance to win it.

great from both

I think nadal wont want nole in his quarter in paris

but nadal is in good form, lets see tomorrow

Missed most of the match.  Only saw the first five games of the first set and then the last two of the second.  Based on those I would say neither of them played very well.

Nadal keeps winning but every time I see him this season, I think he is playing worse than he did last year.  I still think the main problem is that nobody is stepping up to challenge him.  Maybe Zverev tomorrow?

Nole looked better than I have seen him look in a long time, but nowhere close to how good he used to be.  If this is just a step up a ladder of continuous improvement, he could be dangerous by later this summer.  But last year he also briefly looked like he was improving but then it all fizzled.

This Zverev ain't doing it for me:

- Brings nothing new to court
- Nothing special in his shots
- Looks girly
- Zero charisma
- Bitches a lot, like just now on first point argues with umpire for a line shot
- Have a feeling these kids who come from Tennis families dad/moms, are artificially forced into Tennis, and will break down fast from pressure.

Zverev exudes a sense of entitlement ... he thinks he should win because he is the chosen one. I'm not a fan ... he is powerful but his game is very limited and there isn't much to like.

No way, Thiem can crush the ball 3 hours, Zverev is more of a wait for UE and hit only when safe and Nadal has problems with hard hitters, not with pushers.

Third straight week in the final for Zverev.  I am worried that - win or lose - he is setting himself up for his usual slam letdown.  He will run out of gas after these efforts and go out meekly to a nobody somewhere in Rd 2 at FO.

Thiem needs to be very lucky to keep crushing the ball for 3 hours and not have them go mostly out.  Plus he does play with a SHBH.  Zverev has plenty enough firepower.  I still favor Rafa - obviously.  I doubt Zverev will be consistent enough nor am I sure he moves well enough - even though he moves quite well for his size.  Still, he serves well and can crush the ball off both wings either cross court of DTL.  Not sexy maybe, but that is the bread-and-butter anti-Nadal recipe.

Nadal is playing better than last year.

Nole is very close.

In one of the changeovers he was very annoyed with Nadal's moonballing he even yelled out to his box stg to the effect, no chance, no chance, bloody moonballs non-stop.

Which means he found it difficult to dictate from centre position from which he loves to send Nadal scrapping and running.
Once he gets his returning in check, he'll be fine.
I must admit, it's been strange to see him miss returns this year, even from the not such tough servers.
Strange, but that's where his tennis being is the sharpest, so probably needs more practice or matches there, dunno, I have never seen it before like that.
Fed was fine with his returning upon his return in 2017 and so was Nadal. Nadal struggled with timing and movement.

I only saw a few games, so I could be wrong.  But from what I saw, they were both missing quite a lot.  It is not just returning with Nole - he just is nowhere near as consistent sending everything close to the lines as he used to be.  I saw him miss a few mundane DTL BHs.

Anyway, he is definitely improving.  I just do not think he is anywhere near good enough yet to seriously challenge at FO.  Maybe by Wimbledon he could be ready Sad

Rafa I think flatters to deceive.  Consistent deep hitting off both wings would I think cause him more trouble than in the past - it is just that nobody can produce that now.  2011 Nole would have sent this Rafa home with breadsticks.

Guess the teens are risking it so they can grab as much as they can, since only Fed/Nadal left around. Ranking now pretty open outside 1-2, so better seeding welcome for GS.

Here is what I see as top 15 point getters this clay court season so far:

1. Nadal: 2280
2. Zverev: 2210
3. Thiem: 915
4. Nishikori: 790
5. Goffin: 630
6. Cilic: 540
7. Dimitrov: 505
8. Djokovic: 495
9. Tsitsipas: 480
10. Edmund: 475
11. Shapovalov: 460
11. Carreno Busta: 460
13. Kohlschreiber: 420
14. Anderson: 405
15. Cecchinato: 360

It is only fitting that the two outstanding clay courters on the planet should play in the final of the final big prep tournament before RG.

Sadly, we have seen a preview of what may come when they met early on in the clay court season in DC.  Still, I think Zverev has improved dramatically over the last couple of weeks, so fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Did he say that? He is so good at hitting winners from Moonballs.

If I were him, I'd take heart at that result. What he was lacking today was fitness. You felt he could not run with Nadal but he is not far off.

I could not watch the second set but the first set was good enough....he was very close from exposing Nadal fitness but clearly was not to his normal fitness level himself and was forced to go for too much too early like his pre-2011 seasons.

I think we have a challenger for RG!
