Looks like Tsitsipas has turned the match around.

Poor Jaziri looks like “one of us” atm...ran out of steam.

He only comes to life in Dubai, in some ways reminds me of Baghdatis.

But he must be very popular as a hitting partner with local sheiks and their sons....

Didn’t Nadal win his slam when he was 18, Becker when he was 17?

Shapo has the game to start winning now.

Seems that’s not enough any more.

Neither of those two were at their best at 18 - and exceptions don't make rules.  I knew you'd come back by picking the massive minority case.

What was Federer, the greatest, doing at 18?

You have somehow managed to divert my original comment of Shapo losing to Thiem to How old Gederer was when he started winning slams.

All I said was I was surprised Shapo lost to Thiem.

I think he is a better and more talented player regardless of his younger age than Thiem, and I didn’t expect such a convincing loss.

I looked at the highlights and was surprised he was returning Thiem’s  serve so poorly.

And I am not surprised... because he is 18.

Krajinovic (from now on Fica) is such a nice player, great volleys and a perfect, clever dose of attacking.

Pouille choked it. Served for a straight sets win and now 2-2 in third.

Why are Delpo and Zcerev playing at 12:30 am?

Delpo slicing his BH 90% of the time. Weird but it works.

What’s 12.30 am for a laid back Mexicans...that’s when they all come to life!

I was thinking that at best Zverev could become a new Delpo.

Same qualifications: tall, good groundstrokes, good athletes, good competitors...but can Zverev change his Murray brain?

I think Becker could do it for him.

It was a great little match.
Pouille was fitter and more experienced.

If he bests Gutty today he cracks top 10.

But, yes shame he turned out to be a choker. Can he get over it?

For numerous Nole fans here, it looks like he’ll play in IW.
He’s there practising with Agassi.

There is a very nice match today on clay
Fognini- Cuevas.

And in decent watching hours, 15.30!

He won't get there cause frankly he doesn't quite deserve it.

Yes, watched last two games.
Slow on hs feet compared to Gutty. And not clear thinking, he needs to master his emotions asap.

And it was so nice to see two classy shotmakers play on clay, Fognini was amazing, why couldn’t he have won stg on it...not even a semi at RG.

What I find annoying is that Nadal will be remembered as a “king of clay” yet his asphyxiating game was so dull and ugly.

I have not seen Zverev play much this year, but judging by results he has not progressed at all since last year. Delpo - even without backhand - may be able to beat anyone outside the Big 4. With three of them seemingly falling apart, Delpo might still make #1 one day, or at least win another slam, if he can only wait Federer out to retirement.

Zverev had a knee problem towards the end of the match and that might have affected him early on too. But It is no surprise that a big guy like that who relies too much on retrieving gets physical problems already.

Delpo won;t win another slam. He is too heavy and gets tired as the match goes on. If he could shrten the points yes, but he is one of those "professional" player who woudl rather run the extra mile than make an easy mistake. But when you are nearly 2m high it;s tough on the body.

Zverev has not really done anything since he won Montreal last year, strangely enough.
