Oh, It’s Crying Time Again...
It was all about Federer’s tears today.
To me they stole the show.
Here are some other memorable wobblies:
(Please add others you can remember)

Re: Oh, It’s Crying Time Again...
Every one of those was so special.
What stood out to me ws what big part crowd has in all those emotions.
As if they fill players with them somehow.
I have never played in front of a crowd (closest was for my school’s volleyball team ) and I can’t even begin to imagine how that must feel for players.
It seems to be very imortant for them which is why Nole struggled to accept the crowd was almost always against him in slam finals.
I take my hat off to him how he played through it.
I remember reading that during USO 2015 final vs Fed he was telling himself the crowd are chanting No-le No-le instead of Ro-ger Ro-ger.
Not to mention the RG SF 2011.
Fed, on the other hand has always had the adulation, the love and after today’s clip I can see how it gives him wings.
Call me stupid, but I never realised until today how big a role the crowd plays.
The other factor is obviously “the box”, even one glance at them and Federer and Murray are a puddle.
I loved all those clips.
Emotions are awesome!!!

Re: Oh, It’s Crying Time Again...
I think it's the moments in essence to them it must feel the one and only time they will be there and they experience it.
Federer's emotion today was amazing. Like it didn't sink in what he has and continues to achieve. 20 was every bit important as the 1st one.
It's times like that when it's more than just sport.
That Goran clip always makes me smile. He was a classic case of a guy who wanted to win, but couldn't believe he could. For him it was about being able to say "I am a Wimbledon champion"

And not just for him...
Imagine if he did not win it!!!!!
Like Roddick, for example.
I wonder how that sits with Roddick. I know he threw ALL his trophies away when he moved house a few years ago...was he closing cirtain on the past or just trying to run away from it?
Interesting he didn’t cry in the ceremony.
The one I really love was Nole’s 2014 RG.
He wanted that trophy sooo badly, the crowd felt his pain and managed to draw tears out of him, the stoic Serb.
And poor all other players that never even got a chance to cry in a ceremony...

Re: Oh, It’s Crying Time Again...
Well trophies are more like mementos. The memory of those wins would outlast the trophies.
Roddick is somewhat of a sad case. Born and lived in the wrong era sadly and wasn't Goran who famously say that it would take Roddick 10 years to get over that Wimbledon defeat. I don't think he was the same again after that and a lot of desire went with him after that defeat. I remember his last match. He couldn't wait to get off court.
