Nishikori's best ever performance?

Post by DEC1M7 on Tue Sep 19, 2017 9:13 pm

Hopefully this thread won't be the typical Nadal/Djoko/Fed debate, and can be just focused on Kei Nishikori.

Will post a few highlight videos and people can say which performance was his best display.
Also feel free to discuss him as a player, how injuries impacted him as a player etc.

1/ vs Djokovic @USO2014

2/ vs Murray @USO2016

3/ vs Federer @Miami2014

4/ vs Wawrinka @USO2014

5/ vs Nadal @Montreal2015

No one cares for Ninja, he has disappointed us all for years, I given up on him.

I don't know which match is Nishi's best, he's played a few good ones, even those he lost.

I only saw him live once, vs Nole in WTF. He played a phenomenal second set.

He times the ball like few can on tour, I can only think of Fed and D Brown in the zone that are in that league.

He is a classic example of super talent that does not have the full package.

Though a big question mark has to be over him because of his poor results on grass.

To me he is one of the best player after Federer...but is often injured and being too short does not allow him to win his serve easily.

With a better serve he woudl be number 2 in the world.

I actually found his matches with Raonic the more entertaining to be honest. Contrast of styles. Thought their match at USO 2014 was the best I saw of them both.

Sadly, the boy is made of glass in all areas!

Nishikori is the greatest at retiring.  He's the GOATAR !
