Thiem isn't on Zverev's level. Never will be probably. I saw his disaster to Djok not long back. He's way too nervous and bottles big moments. If he comes good, fair enough - but I don't see it. Not based on what I've seen so far. He's also rather toothless.

I've seen Thiem live twice 2-3 years ago, he really doesn't give the bottling vibe off, a very good competitor.

He is still learning a lot.

Nadal times the ball better than in the past...like all players aging. Less loopy, more pace. He may find it harder to recover for the final if the match extends. Stan can punch tired, Nadal can't.

He misses a few shots (nervous because knows he's against a player he'll lose to upcoming years ) but i think his level of energy is inhumane. I feel sorry for Thiem.

Stan will do a bit better as he has even more firepower than Thiem and has a more protrusive game.
But it's about impossible to recover fully from the semi he had.

Yes.

Nadal is going for corners and lines unusually frequently.

With Thiem, he has no worries from the BH.

Stan will be ok for the final.
I somehow think Murray is more difficult for him than Nadal.

Tjiem should try and extend the rallies, play more inside out FHs, not just having a cc hit with Nadal.

I get it his tactics is swinging freely with no pressure, playing with house money approach, but he should think of the BIG picture and the final and try to wear Nadal out...or at least tey stg new. Big Grin

i think that nadal is playing much better right now then all of his previous meeting with thiem on lay this year,thats why thiem seems to have no answers
