This Balishvilli is tragic, I thought he was Gabashvilli before the match, Gaba is much better.
How on earth did this guy make the third round!

Poor Goffin retired...and I just saw how...gutted!
He was playing so well.

Schwartzman - Nole an uneventful affair.
Nole's form peaking but very slowly.

Yes, I saw that, he had a break up and managed to lose.luvsports! wrote:He took the first set!
From what I can see, his mindset is questionable.
He is looser than usual, which his good, however he needs to win this match, so not time to experiment.
As a result his volleys & dropshot (and generally handskill shots) are the worst I've ever seen.
I do want to see a Nole-Rafa showdown.
Come what may!

Did he run out of steam in the last 2 sets?

Re: French Open prediction game: Day 6
i would have guessed but it looks like he was injured in some kind of way in the last 2 sets
maybe it was a cramp
lots of drama with the umpire ad djokovic in that match
i didnt know that you lose your first serve if you get a time violation..is that really true?

Too bad about Goffin, but in the end it may be for the Greater Good. He was in the same quarter as Thiem and Nole and he could have given them trouble (did he not beat them both during the clay court season?), yet I think the two of them have a better chance against Rafa.
BTW, I did not see Rafa's match but the score does not look encouraging.

Neither did I see the Nadal match but very impressed by the score.
the next match will tell us more about his form but clearly he looks pretty good.

The opponent brought a club game to RG R3. I've not seen anyone play worse in a long time in a slam. The last one was another Italian Paulo Lorenzi against Djokovic in Aus12 Open R1.

Re: French Open prediction game: Day 6
raiders of the lost ark is playing on BBC1 right now
but yeah i agree for a while i was trying to figure out if it was nadal who was unplayable or if his opponent was handing the match to him on a silver plate
i think he only hit like 2 winners in the whole match!!
at RG round 3 level?

Re: French Open prediction game: Day 6
I was on Chartrier all day so saw Muguruza; Nadal; Djokovic and Venus Williams. The worst match was Nadal - he spent some time trying to make it look like a contest with short balls up the middle of the court but I suspect that most of his practice sessions look more interesting.

Re: French Open prediction game: Day 6
No, the RG website is easy to use but tickets go fast and I bought them just after they went on sale. I had no idea at the time that it would be such an interesting day. You obviously know at the outset that it will be 2 men's and 2 women's but the day itself is obviously in the hands of the schedulers.
