Another record for Federer coming up?

Post by bogbrush on Sat Feb 25, 2017 1:52 pm

Nobody has ever establsihed a 17 match winning streak against another professional. Federer stands on 16-0 against both David Ferrer and Colonel Youzhny.

Now after a long gap -it's 2 years since they met, coincidentally, at this event - Federer and Youzhny will meet again if they both win their opening match at Dubai. Youzhny has an as-yet undetermined qualifier, Federer has Benoit Paire.

So, is yet another record shortly to fall?

Edit: just noticed one was a w/o. Does that count? It's in the ATP h2h.

I reckon there's a good chance he'll manage 17-0 smiley

W/0 don't count.  You have to play, but it is indeed now 17-0.
