federer - Federer's Practice Session Empty Federer's Practice Session

Post by noleisthebest Thu Dec 22, 2016 1:53 pm

I just saw this clip of Federer's practice session.

It was streamed live yesterday.

I have seen a few other players practice, but it was always ball hitting...though occasionaly I would see some of fine coordination prep on youtube.

But never such a variety and inventiveness like Paganini gives him (I love how even his fitness coach has a "maestro" kind of name).

There were some very demanding moves esp on one knee/leg, and a lot of coordination/reflex exercises.

Federer looks well and strong in the clip and says he is enjoying playing with no pain.
I am not sure how representative this clip is of anything or his usual practice session, but still interesting to see how much time he dedicates to speed of coordination.

I really enjoyed watching it.

He also looks slow compared to Djokovic on the other hand, but I assume it's because Djokovic is lighter, and that's his main "weapon".

Anyway, have a look:

I found the link in Youtube which is better, as you can forward and rewind it, too...

I only saw the fIrst five minutes of the link in OP, but in this one I realised he was hitting with Pouille Big Grin

Loooooovely! Bubbly

I suppose nobody cares for old Rog and young Lucas ...it's more "Interesting" to argue about Trump and Murray's personality.....

Oh, human nature.....

Fed looks stiff but his knee seems ok.
