Why don't you get Eurosport online?
They are showing all courts!
Only £6.99 per month and you don't have to renew it.

I would if I had a computer at home. Figured as I used one all day at work I didn't like the idea of being on it at home
I have it on sports package. Why can't they just give me the red button function!

TV is useless.
I only watch Wimbledon on it.
Stan playing really well, burning the ball off both wings.
I feel sorry for Nando, tough draw...when you read the names that have gone through 1st round...

But then it's a better viewing tool in the evening than another computer
Nando got a tough break. Annoyed more so with the retirements yesterday. A few of them.

5 retirements on the men's side thus far.
Bad result for Goffin! Downed in 4 by Donaldson.

Re: US open prediction game - day 2
Well, no big surprises yesterday (except for Goffin...he seems to play well only in Europe)...except all those retirements.
I don't blame the players, though I feel sorry for the fans.
Some nice matches today.
Glad Nole-Vesely is not a night match - will not miss this one!
Also Paire -Baggy.
Pouille looks on a good course, too after the tough 1st round match.
Surprised by Coric's retirement only in fact.
He played quite well until last week.
He doesn't look like a player who'd injure himself before a slam.
Can Harrison perform an upset and beat Raonic?
Not long ago they were in the same "league" of promising youngsters...
Any news on Gulbis?

Stakhovsky vs Cilic looks good. I would imagine Darcis vs Isner will be short given their 5 setters in the 1st round. Hoping Edmund can back up his result against Gasquet.

Actually, the problem is he is not Aussie, or at least a classic one like Hewitt, Rafter, etc.Tenez wrote:What's wrong with the AUssies' youngsters? So vulgar!noleisthebest wrote:Just saw this... O U C H ! ! !

He is half Croatian half Bosnian and that means ex-Yugoslavian - same language.
Last night he played a Bosnian whose fans were provoking him apparently.
So he "replied" according to the level of his "intelligence", maturity and self-control.
The taunting fan had to leave because of his behaviour after the first set.
In a way I feel sorry for him as he is struggling with his national identity, similar to Raonic.
Obviously, no excuse for his vulgarness...In general, I find him funny in his helpless idiocy.
At least it's honest unlike the "bye-bye, good riddance Wayne (Odesnik)" hypocricy.
In fact, all current young Aussies (Tomic, Kyrgios and Kokkinakis) would be called WOGS down under.

No excuse to speak like that in a public place. I don't buy this origin thing. McEnroe and Connors were the same and they were not "WOGS". It's about education....or lack off rather. And that is inherent to a country's ethic and education system....often when money takes over every other values.

Re: US open prediction game - day 2
In terms of Tomic's comments. Total muppet. No way to conduct oneself. I don't support responding to the fans in that manner in any sport. However, I don't support fans conducting themselves in an Anglo Saxon manner either.
I won't use the term "profession" purely because that's the stick 'paying' fans use to justify their conduct. The "Oh I pay his wages so I can say what I please" brigade drive me potty with that mentality.
Tomic should've taken the higher ground and simply not responded and allowed his tennis do the talking.
I don't deny it is difficult to tolerate verbal abuse on a weekly or in some cases daily basis, but smile and walk away. If someone is stupid enough to pay what £80 to watch a tennis match and get himself ejected for his conduct, bigger fool him.

Re: US open prediction game - day 2
Tomic is just thick.
But in a harmless way which is why I find him funny.
Obviously, it's hard to control oneself all the time, esp even if you are not brought up to do so.
For me, tennis court is a stage and I enjoy watching characters shine in full "glory".
There is no room for fakng there.
Every player has something to offer.
Especially as we have had the same bunch for 15 years...they are like family almost!
Also, with globalisation of tennis and this super popularity we have new fans, too.
Especially from smaller countries of those with little tennis tradition that have no clue about tennis, just come for nationality fix.
Llodra had similar trouble with a Chinese fan in US a few years ago.

Yes. I agree.
I remember I have talked to Pioline and Gasquet from 2metre in French while they were playing at Wimbledon. I was not saying nasty things (well I was a bit for Pioline as I was encouraging Korda in french to piss Pioline off and was commenting on line calls to Gasquet). They completely blanked me.
That's how focus and concentrate they are and need to be.
And yes it is difficult to do I agree.

I don't think that athletes mind banter even with the crowd (knowing they might be everyone's favourite) as they see it as being a good sport. I don't like verbal abuse and I think that's where fans and athletes alike can fall down.
I've been to many a sporting events and paid a tidy sum for the experience. Never would I put myself in a position where I would allow myself to risk getting chucked out for getting abusive with an athlete who most likely who would wave me out!
